## Differentiate Between Emotions and Moods
* Affects, Emotions, and Moods

* moral emotions
* Moral emotions are learned, usually in childhood.
* Emotions 和 Rational 是互斥的嗎?
* 透過對腦傷患者的研究, 失去 Emotions 能力的人, 做的判斷及決定反應是很不合理的. Emotions 提供重要的資訊給我們, 幫助我們瞭解周遭的世界.因此, 若要做出好的決策, 需要同時含蓋 Emotions 及 Rational.
## Identify the Sources of Emotions and Moods
* 個性 (Personality)
* 每個人有不同的情感傾向.每個人有不同的情感強度 (affect intensity).
* 時間點 Time of Day
* Happier in the midpoint of the daily awake period
* Negative affect: increase over the course of a day (peak in the evening)
* 在一週之內 (day of the week), 週日及週一負面情感較強 (由週日開始依序遞減). 週五及週六正面情感較強 (由週日開始依序遞增).
* 氣候 (Weather)
* 氣候和情感沒有相關性.
* 壓力 (Stress)
* 壓力愈大, 負面情感愈強.
* 社交活動 (Social Activities)
* 社交活動會增加正面情感, 對於負面情感則沒有影響
* 睡眠 (Sleep)
* 睡眠不足會影響判斷能力
* 睡眠不足也會影響工作滿意度
* 運動 (Exercise)
* 運動會加強正面情感.
* 年齡 (Age)
* 隨著年紀的增加, 正面情感持續的時間會增長, 而負面情感的發生次數則會降低
* 性別 (Gender)
* **Women** tend to be **more emotionally expressive**, feel emotions more intensely, have **longer-lasting moods**, and **express emotions more frequently** than men

Emotional labor:
* Defn: Emotional labor: an employee’s expression of organizationally desired emotions during interpersonal transactions at work
* Types of Emotions
* Felt: the individual’s actual emotions
* Displayed: required or appropriate emotions
* Surface acting:
淺層扮演指的是員工調節情緒表達,使其與組織的要求相符合
* Deep acting
深層扮演為表達組織期望的情緒而**對於本身的真實情感進行整飾**,使其一致
* Emotional dissonace
* Can be very damaging and lead to burnout

* Understand the meaning of these emotions
