### About font size in Android
The existing font sizes in the app are quite accurate. If you put the suggested 17pt/12pt font's in android layout xml file it would look too big. Probably at design time the fonts were specified as 17pt in designed software and the software converted it to proper size.
For my measurement I've used this equation
pt = px * 72 / dpi
where,
dpi = 440 (for my test device)
In my measurement font size was 37px (full Placeholders)
then, pt = 6
