# Website content ## Event title: OG Council ## Date: 23&24 April (Saturday & Sunday) ## About OG Council OG Council event hosted by Ethereum Magicians Event with fish bowl and circle discussions, topic voting, group discussions on the hottest topics in Ethereum. We are going to host a few session leaders that will help us lead sessions and encourage people to talk about the issues we are facing in the Ethereum Ecosystem. Council is a big gathering of Ethereum enthusiasts with aim to discuss and solve issues we are facing in the Ethereum core ecosystem. We are going to host 250 people over the period of two days with the aim to provide place for people to discuss issues on Ethereum. We are going to do typical Ethereum Magicians Council in circle / fish bowl format with voting process at the venue. Day 1 - Saturday will be focused on dApp layer EIPs and topic discussions. NFT, DeFi related discussions are welcomed, we would like to look into standardisation of DeFi and NFT protocols. Day 2 - Sunday will be focused on protocol layer EIPs and discussions. This day be can be used for community discussions with Core Devs and protocol researchers. # Sessions & Session Leaders Day 1 - Saturday April 23rd Confirmed session leaders & sessions: - James Hancok - Ex AllCoreDevs Coordinator - Anett - NFT Standards - Author of NFTStandards.wtf documentation, Working Group leader - Hadrien Croubois - ERC-4626 - Author of ERC-4626 Open Zeppelin implementation - Alex Stokes - Co- Author of EIP-4444 Day 2 - Sunday April 24th Confirmed session leaders & sessions: - Piper Merriam - Portal Network (ex Stateless Client) - ETH Staker Team - Client UX - Marius Van Der Wijden - Merge Testing Both days the sessions will start at 10am with Opening Ceremony. # Schedule - Agenda Agenda will be very similar for both days 10am -10:30am - Council Ceremony Intro - Introduction about Ethereum Magicians, intro about Council, run through agenda of the day 10:30am -11:30am - Council Kick off - Topic proposal, topic voting 12-3pm - Group discussions - Groups will divide into smaller groups with team leader and discuss topics, work on EIP and/or propose solution lunch break as needed 4pm-5pm - Council Reunion - Discuss problems that has been discussed in the smaller groups with wider audience Optionally groups can regroup again and discuss & work together again The venue has no closing time so we can use it as long as we need - if session leaders would like to work on propoosals after 6pm # Tickets We are going to give away tickets for free with optional donation. Tickets will be available in 3 waves. The first wave will start in next week or two (depending on when our landing page for the event will be ready). The first wave will be distributed by email to: - Ethereum Magicians OGs - people that are actively participating in discussions on a forum - EIP contributors - people that authored & co-authored EIP/ERC, EIP editors, - Core Devs - people actively contributing to Ethereum Core protocol database (All Core Devs) The second and third wave tickets will be publicly available to Ethereum Community (everyone) on our OG Council Website. (THIS TEXT MAY CHANGE A BIT) # The Venue Pakhuis de Zwijger is a famous old warehouse and located at ‘IJ’, the main river crossing Amsterdam. Public transport is in front of the venue and it’s a 26 minutes walk and 7 minutes bike ride away from Devconnect’s co-working space in Beurs van Berlage. Council ceremony is being lead by Ethereum Magicians community member who encourages people to propose topics then vote on topics which are going to be discussed. After ceremony, community devides into smaller groups and discuss topic, work on potential solutions to a problem and eventually creates EIP or post on Ethereum Magicians which gives chance to wider community to discuss and come up with potential solution. ## About Ethereum Magicians Ethereum Magicians is a group of individuals working and contributing to Ethereum and maintaining the forum. We aim to strengthen our role as a community moderator by organising meetups with Ethereum Core Developers and Researchers and wide Community during bigger Ethereum Conferences. Which has a very positive impact on the whole Ethereum Community, empowers Ethereum Core decision makers to listen to the community more and encourages researchers to work closer with the community via Ethereum Magicians Forum.
