Some early free real estate to the south allowed them to get their early expension at a reasonable price. Now that they're laying claim to iberia one might start to wonder if this steamroller can still be stopped. Should the HRE unite to stop this force from expending their way? Or should they befriend him and hope to not be baquetted from behind. High dev, mighty allies, free real estate to munch into. Clearly S tier. ## A tier ### England The brittish isles will probably be united rather sooner then later now. England has claimed and taken most of it. Meanwhile taking island has granted england many provinces in the new world within its colonial range. He might not have the latest tech, but with most of it's land guarded by the seas he probably doesn't have to much to worry about for now. If he wins his current war with the dutch lands he might soon be able to fully control one of the richer trade nodes in the world. Ducats shouldn't be a problem from then on. Lots of potential for england and one might wonder which ways he choses to go. ### Paypal states Basicly Italy with some holy name tag which allows him to tell people how god likes to see things. Has done fairly well in the early years by uniting the rich lands of italy under 1 banner. But how will he fair now that bigger neighbours start closing in on its borders and diplomacy gets more complicated. Calls himself the paypal states for he is the one who likes to annex peacefully in exchange for gold. Rumours have it that altough his economy is doing well. He's still in dire need for more money to buy provinces for his friend in the north and another decent amount to buy the holy city of jerusalem. You know what they say, the church always needs more money! ### Muscovy The big and growing giant of the east. Still a bit of land to gobble up around him, but the borders of poland, timurids, oirat and the moving fortress of georgea are soon to be reached. Where would one go then? Will his alliances remain and help him to move into one of his other neighbours? Not in the greatest of all places when it comes to tech, but can't complain to much either. Wheter we remain seeing muscovy or future russia in A tier might proof to be a challenge for muscovy. ### Poland Is that poland all the way downw there ? and all the way over there in the west... Apparantly it is. When it comes to expanding and claiming clay nobody can claim they havn't done well. The cost at which it came might have been high, but wheter that is going to hurt him in the end will be something to discuss in next weeks tierlist. For now things are looking solid. His allies Muscovy and Georgia are strong enough to make possible enemies think twice before attacking. The question however is wheter they like him enough to come to his aid if some europeans decide to gang up on poor kurwaland while he's recovering his manpower. A full set of quality ideas will make things a bit easier if it would come to a fight. For poland the next session can solidify his position in A tier, move it up to S tier. Or it can all go down the drain and be the end of our favourite countryball. Time to proof if he's worthy of the lands he's conquered. ## B Tier ### Portugal Portugal is in a really awkward position right now. He's setting up a few colonies, but all spread out over different colonial regions, so not much to be expected of them any time soon. Meanwhile his home provinces are beaing eaten by france and morocco. He's been giving free technology to a couple of primitive nations in the america's. If this was done in exchange for riches or other rewards, that might mean there's a way to continue. If not, we might see the nation collapse completely in the near future. ### Milan His lands, development, tech, governnment. It's all looking very healthy and in good shape. Financials seem to be no problem at all for now (sweet genoa tradenode ftw.) However, what will he be able to do in the following years. Not a lot of room for expension, and won't be able to fight a war against it's neighbours without any help. Rumours have it that he's been influenced by the papal states into believing lands could better be bought then fought for. With sardinie high up on his wishlist we can expect a little bit of expension into the mediteranean sea. But what will happen after ? Will Milan be able to grow and develop enough to keep up with its neighbours ? ### Venice The other latin tradepower of the mediteranean. The venice tradenode is making him sick money while his country is recovering from the mess it's in. Manpower is lacking however. If his western italian allies remain loyal we will most likely see Venice expand into the balkans were many juicy provinces remain under chaotic control for now. Even though things might not look as healthy now, its surroundings don't pose much of a threat. Venice can still become one to be reckoned with over the next sessions. ### Livonian order High income for the size of it's country, decent technology and raked up a nice amount of idea's already. How did he even get provinces in nogai's former terretories ? These livonian crusaders have done very well and should be praised for their advances so far. However, they remain a small nation in contrast to some of it's neighbours. Will they be able to stand on their own if some of them decide to take a less friendly stance ? ## C Tier ### Sweden In a decent position, independend from denmark. Maximumum manpower and enough income to not go broke anytime soon. Being bordered by muscovy is less then ideal though and denmark/norway are probably to strong to fight again without any help. Has just been picked up by a player who will need to diplo their way back into having a future by getting some help in potential wars. ### Denmark What is denmark doing. what's his gameplan ? Behind in technology compared to it's neighbours. A bit of corruption, lost his PU over sweden. Will norway remain loyal ? Seems to be aiming at colonisation at some point. But one might wonder if he will last without any allies to rely on. He seems to be a loyal catholic however, investing in curia control rather then the sweet bonusses one can buy with papal influence. ### 3 Germanic princes, Brandenburg, Cologne, Bohemia What happend over here and what is to expected of them. The great guardian of the HRE austria has basicly been declared dead. Bohemia hasn't seen much chance to expend, Brandenburg has expended, but not enough to become the power to be feared in the north of germany. With poland on their east there might be nowhere to go in the near future. Cologne has grown very well, coming from a much weaker position at the start he can now claim to be a comparable force as brandenburg and bohemia. They probably have to stick together to be able to survive the mess that is known as europe. ## D Tier ### Holland About to be deadified. Economy has taken some hits, and so has it's military stability. In a war with england that seems unlikely to make things any better for him. this might be the last session where we see Holland in a high tier D with things looking this bad. ### Friesland Doesnt hold the best of provinces, doesn't have the biggest of armies. But he did make it to the new world pretty fast. If his colonies can develop in piece Friesland might work its way up into higher tiers with the extra funds and manpower granted by the colonial riches he's making his own. Will his alliance with england allow him for such great things ? ### ULM Ulm is Ulm. Holding more then 2 provinces so it's not all to bad. I don't see a whole lot of future for the greatest meme of europe. He will have to rely on loyal alliances. At least his tech is not a reason for concern. ### Switzerland Bad tech.. Locked into other nations borders. He's not in any wars at the moment, which is the only reason I wouldn't say he shares its fate with Holland. # Africa ## S Tier ### Mamluks The great powerhouse of northern europe. With ethopia and the otto's dealt with, there's not much to fear at the moment. Doing well financially with strong trade nodes and tech that's a bit behind on europe, but for someone further away not bad at all. Ahead in tech compared to all it's direct neighbours. The closest power that could might have been a reason for concern would be the timurids, but as they've declared themselfs as allies of eachother that's bee dealt with properly. ### Morocco The other great power of africa. With spain and portugal having collapsed morocco has profited and taken rich lands in iberia. He might go after the andalusia tag, if his french buddy allows him to. Even though his armies, and ducat count seems alright. Morocco seems to be lacking a bit in the tech department. ## A Tier ### Kilwa Kilwa doing what Kilwa does. Bit of gold here, another goldmine over there. What's that thing called inflation btw ? Tech seems to be horribly behind. But without any close neighbours he seems to have plenty of time to get that fixed. Should perhaps start negotiating with mamluks and see if they can make some arrangements for who can go upto where. Or rather, how far kilwa may go without upsetting mamluks. We might see kilwa hop into what lays to his west and conquer more african lands. ### Songhai He who will most likely make all of west africa listen to the same crown. Compared to his neighbours his armies are strong. He does seem to be a bit behind on what one might expect from a player in such a position which might cause issues if any colonizers show up on his coast. With portugal and spain both basicly dead however, the odds seem to be in his favour for now. His tech is lacking in the diplomatic and administrative departments, but when it comes to military tech, he's been able to match his northern morocco's mil-tech which should make him a bit safer from a land invasion considering he gets an easy choke point to defend. ## B Tier Whats a B tier ? In africa, you're doing either good.. Or you're doing not so.. There is no avarage in the lands of Africa ## C Tier ### Mali The early riches and gold were not enough to expand faster then his neighbour songhai who has gotten the upper hand. Mali doesn't have much places to go now that he's locked into the western corner of western africa. Colonisation seems his best shot at expension, but that will leave him without military ideas to face a songhai later on. Also, with tech already being behind I'm not even sure if there's still an escape without some strong diplomatic conversations with his neighbours. ### Kongo 4/4/4 tech. Poor guy.. His nation is worse of then mali, but since he has no player enemies facing him in the near future he might have enough time to recover and prepare for what lies ahead. # Asia ## S Tier ### Timurids Wow.. Timmy boy.. Well done.. Ducats are no problem. He's teched up as if he were an european institution spawner himself. If there were a global tierlist where countries were not seperated by continent. He would easily challenge anyone for the nr.1 position. As long as neighbours don't coalition up against him he should not have to much to worry. ## A Tier ### (Bahmanis) He who cheated, got punished, and cheated again. How big of a role did his earlier tech advantages play in his expansions and building up of the create empire of Bahmanis. When one looks at the lands he's obtained, the armies that bow to his throne and the streams of gold rolling into his chests, one would say he's the true power of india. When one considers he's taken some questionable decissions on the road to get there, one might just aswell decide to ignore him completly for his unethical methods. Those matters aside, bahmanis is in a strong position but is locked into the southern states of india with mewar, delhi and bengal blocking any roads into expending it's terretories. ## B tier ### Bengal Expension done right, the cost however might raise some doubts to others on wheter it's all worth it. Rebels have plagued and are still plagueing his lands. What it did bring him however is the army traditions that other nations could only dream of. Closing on on the magical number of 100 it wouldn't be fair to have any complaints about it. Technology is not great, but not bad either. Same would apply for ideas. He has snaked himself all the way into south-east asia where he might gobble up more free real estate with his well famed armies. Is this a curse that keeps going ? Fighting for expension in the east, while fighting his own rebels in the west ? ### Delhi The great sultan of Delhi, looking at his borders one might expect him to have a bright future ahead. But as soon as you look closer you'll notice that he's fighting one of the strongest powers the current world knows. Tim and his Timmyboys are about to hammer down on Delhi. Will delhi hold ? Will they protect india from these almost arabian heathens ? The data itself doesnt seem to promising. Time for delhis ruler to proof it's worth. At least his tech is in decent shape allowing him to put up a fight. ### Oirat A force to be reckoned with that steamrolled into it's neighbouring terretories as soon as he could. The scary hordes of Oirat seem to have some internal problems at the moment however. Vassals that show unloyal behaviour should be a reason for concern. His current war with the fire seems to cost him his economy. What horde needs economy though. As long as there is grass to graze on and cities to be razed a groups of horseman might recover from anything you throw at it. A new player has taken control of the nation recently and the next sessions will show us what lord peli is capable of. Let's hope oirats fate is not comparable to ethiopia's. ### Hosokawa Having no debt at all is something rather strange in these area's it seems. Hosokawa managed to stay financially healthy however. A job well done. He's been able to capitilize on the lands of korea which now allow him to expend without having to enter struggles with his japanese neighbours. ### Georgia Decent income altough he has some debts to clear. With the timurids on his eastern flank as an ally. And mountaincastles to scare those who even consider attacking this orthodox fortress I don't see Georgia going anywhere. Currently munching up ottoman terretories that have recently became free real estate to those nearby. Might cause some border friction with the mighty mamluks, but for the reasons listed above. Georgia won't have to worry about being erased for a little while. ## C Tier ### Mewar Mewar is proudly standing besides delhi in the war against the great and powerfull timurids. Their generals are known to be well skilled, and are rated at the highest level when it comes to commanding their horseman. A bit behind on idea's compared to it's neighbours, but it's not all to bad. The outcome of his war with the timurids will decide how bright of a future he has ahead. ### Majapahit After a quick expension he appears to have stalled for a while before emerging and starting expanding again. Might have had something to do with the malacca/khmer/bengal alliance on his west and not many other players around him to work with. The tides have changed however now that malacca and khmer are no longer around. If bengal stays a friend then majapahit should not have to much to worry about. With a ever growing fleet he might not have to worry so much about invasions anymore giving him the ability to focus more on uniting the isles of indonesia. Makkasar has been his ally troughout most of the game, altough besides an early renaissance knowledge sharing it doesn't seem to have brought him to much. Rumours have it that majapahit promised makkasar to teach him the basics of the game, but makkasar being too enthousiastic about things might have made a few oopsies in the sense of wrong cb's used and awkward buttons pressed which slowed them down. will Majapahit remain patient enough or will he eyeball that juicy capital city with high dev ? Also, what will happen with the new player who hopped on brunei, majapahits former AI ally ? ## D Tier ### Brunei A new player has taken control of the indonesian island of brunei. The gods seem to be working in his favour as his started colonizing and immidiatly obtained a juicy gold province. His fleet and his armies seem to be smaller then his main competitor in the area, majapahit. Will this result in a war or will they work something out and live in peace together. No matter what, he probably has a gameplan. As of now, his tech and finance seem okay. Time will tell wheter brunei can work it's way up, or is doomed to fall down. ### Fire Nation A bit behind on technology, altough his military focus seems to be serving him well enough to be able to put up some sort of fight. He tried to fight with the horseman of the north by NO-CB-ing the white kingdom. All out of manpower, and finances arnt that well either. If it wasn't for his development and the slight hope of not being completly ruined by this war he would not have ended up in this tier. ### Makasar The glorious city of makkasar in the great province of makasar in the great nation of makkasar. Never has anyone seen someone dev up renaissance so early in the game, which according to some has caused some arguements between him and his ally majapahit, who has called him out for being useless in wars with units 4 techs behind. Currently strugging with integration of his vassal as he accidentally clicked the button to raise their lib desire by putting his family on their throne. At least he's still alive and well. Colonisation just started. If he survives we might see him grow into a decent respectable country. ## F Tier ### Zheijang The lowest stability one can imagine. Corruption higher then the offices of trump and putin combined. A nation in ruins from former wars with the weird looking horseman from the north. What is to become of this nation. Low religious unity, financial madness, corruption all over the place. Did I already mention his stability isn't doing that well. He will probably not see the end of the next session. But if he does recover his country, then respect and fame shall come his way, as many rulers would never wish to be in his position. ### Uzbek What is there to be said. He declared a war on timmurids. The most powerfull state of all places discovered. A casus beli wasn't required as uzbek didn't fear a stab hit. What will become of this place ? # Americas ## S tier ### Aztecs How on earth did they become a republic. How on earth did they gather up a total of 35 corruption. We mentiond someone raking up the combined corruption of putin and trump earlier. This guy needs Kim jung un included in the comparison to make some sort of sense. Portugal seems to have felt symphaty for the old aztec nation as they've brought them over the knowledge of western technology. With no threats in the area aztecs seems to be in a position where they can recover and rule the mexican area's untill the end of time. S tier with some notes about how they reached it basicly. ## A tier ### Pacajes United south america, has some rebel issues at the moment but nothing that cannot be handled. ## D Tier ### Haida Small tribe of natives in the america's. Doesn't know the meaning of technology but has devved up his capital far enough to be living in mud skyscrapers. One might wonder what is to become of them on the western coastlines. ### Wichita The new florida, some dev here and there, but nothing really worth mentioning besides that.
