# Julie Zenatti - Les amis [Hard] Simple repeated rhythm for calm intro - no offbeat sliders, not many circles, 1/1 waits are common. (up until 00:16:701 - ) ✔ Next phrase increases difficulty a bit through lack of 1/1 waits, as a result of that it has more circles, and the end of the phrase has a different rhythm than the previous 3 phrases for transition into the next phrase. (includes a triple) ✔ Phrase building up into chorus has no 1/1 waits or 1/1 slider, uses more circles, ½ sliders are not offbeat, third phrase has even more circles and fourth in empty outside of beat on due to lack of instruments. ✔ Chorus uses a more advanced rhythm than before due to it following the vocals more, giving it more off beat sliders, even with some on ¼. In addition it includes some small ¼ chains of objects, such as 00:34:847 (3,4,5) - , 00:38:959 (2,3,4) - . ✔ After the chorus the rhythm reverts back to a familiar 1/1 slider - circle - 2 ½ slider for the next phrase. Then the next phrase has a couple measures with more circles to represent the change in instruments during these measures. ✔ The next phrase begins with the same rhythm as before but then changes in the third measure to represent the difference in the vocals. Along with this the last measure has a very different rhythm, one that includes a triple on the upbeat. ✔ The next phrase, the one leading into the second chorus, is quite similar to the phrase leading into the first chorus. This phrase just uses a slightly different rhythm in the first and third measures, while still only using circles and on beat ½ sliders. The fourth measure remains the same with just having a circle on beat 1 and nothing else the same reason as before. ✔ The first half on the second chorus uses the same rhythm as the first half of the first one, with some familiar note placement, but also some new note placement for variation between the two. ✔ In fact, the next six phrases of the second chorus match the rhythm of the next six from the first chorus, still with some added variation in note placement/structure. ✔ At this point the second chorus ends earlier than the first and goes into a much calmer phrase of the song, mapped with 2/1 waits and 2/1 sliders. The next phrase is very similar to the previous, but this time has vocals. As such this phrase is mapped slightly differently than the previous one, using two 3/2 sliders followed by a circle on the next beat instead of 1 2/1 slider with a circle after a 2/1 wait. Next there are two phrases that build into the final chorus, the first one mapped with ½ slider, and then the next mapped with more circles and a ¼ repeat slider to represent this building in intensity. ✔ Note much to note for the next 12 measures (first 12 of last chorus), they use the same rhythm as before with some familiar patterns and other newer patterns. The next three measures are the last three in the chorus and use on beat ½ sliders with circles, similar to some previous previous phrases. Then the last measure is after the chorus and just contains two 3/2 sliders with a circle on the first beat of the next measure and a spinner fill in the noise during the outro. (I think this would be called the outro) ✔ > ^ I would call the entirety of 02:36:056 - the outro, 02:41:863 - acts as the final transition since it's the 4th measure, and 02:43:798 - provides a sense of finality, which usually ends on beat 3 or some other place instead of your usual new measure... although with music I suppose you can argue your case as well Some things to note about the flow in this hard difficulty is that compared to a normal, much sharper changes in directions demanding a quicker movement occur between sliders and other sliders or between sliders and circles, such as 00:09:927 (2,3,4) - , 00:11:863 (5,6) - , 00:15:734 (6,7) - , 00:17:669 (3,4,1) - , etc. But it’s important to note that this doesn’t really occur between multiple circles, as that would end up forming larger jumps, which typically don’t show up until you reach insane difficulties. ✔
