# Campfire Gov Ideas & Notes
#### Potential Topics for Round Table
## Off the Top
### Direction
*Important to introduce the ethos of campfire to a wide array of artists and get a true sense of where campfire can be the most beneficial to artists in the short and long term while establishing the means by which campfire remains sustainable.*
*Campfire also hopes to extend to an audience beyond web3 so its important to keep joining campfire light and digestible in the early stages.*
-TK
### Membership
*For chaos a portion of all nft sales went back to songcamp. so the camps could start becoming a business model and rev generator for the community. The same could be done for Campfire.*
-Rosalie
**Create a membership collection for:**
- “governance”, - gov membership
- “based”, - base membership
- “founding” - founder membership
Consider distributing NFTs through multiple drops for different membership types.
Ideas:
1. For **Based membership**, drop NFTs to existing collectors & artists making the music. Also make sure Producers, engineers, and other supporters are accounted for.
2. Work with Devs to **spin up our own NFT contracts** & wire up a custom Campfire FE.
3. Create Auto-Expiring NFTs in partnership with another protocol (Otterspace, Hats Protocol, Starling). - **optimal security**
4. **Run a Campaign** on Sound, Zora, Mirror, DoinGud, Catalog, or some platfrom.
5. *put your ideas here!*
Once we have decided on a platform, NFTs are minted we can now know with greater certainty who is a part of the Campfire community.
NFTs are non-financial, they are a token of representation for members who contribute value, steward the Campfire community and Mission.
Campfire is run by the community, and it is continually onboarding & open to new members joining, *as deemed appropriate by the community.*
- What is the Cadence for member onboarding?
- How do we insure Anti-Sybil
- e.g. botting, scams, cancers
- How can simeltaneously increase alignment & security while scaling the community, because it will grow?
- Are we cool with fractionalization, what does it look like when we have 20 camps?
- Distributed is good, [see MetaFactory](https://www.metafactory.ai/)
### Sustaining the Campfire
A percentage of every community members NFT sale goes to Campfire DAO to allocate, decided on by the community at some future date.
- Do we want to put those funds to work in the meantime, maybe some treasury management strategy?
- [Hedgy.finance](https://hedgey.finance/)
- [DebtDAO]()
- Use Delegate Yield to stream funds to lend stagnant funds out on Yearn.Finance
- **Do we want to give grants to camps, or does the community pay itself through supporting artists and the people that run the camps?**
- How do we make it measurable?
- Do we want to make attribution based on real world events and value delivered at these events? **If so, how are we measuring that, telegram invites, filling out a form, getting a POAP, collecting a song, etc.**
Voting in Campfire is a subject of the founding members' discernment. NFT holders may be able to participate & receive attribution for the following activities:
- Supporting artists with marketing & media
- Sponsorships & Ecosystem Partnerships
- Web2 >>> Web3 Onboarding
- Building community, growing Campfire & its mission (content, youtube, podcasts, music)
- Curating Camps (time, place, venue, artists, members, community)
- Providing hands-on, on the ground support at Camps
- Support Allocation of Campfire Attention
- Helping Artists decide which music to release & when

## Campfire Gov Roundtable, Jan 3:
- Using a form for collecting information, such as (wallet address, discord user, telegram handle, brief introduction) from the community members should be sufficient for onboarding folks into Campfire!
- Potentially setup
