##### `tags: RaidGuild <> Collab.Land Ecosystem Partners` # RaidGuild 🤝 Collab.Land ### What We have Already done together In just the past few months, Collab.Land and RaidGuild have achieved a small feat that has the potential to bring a great deal of value to the web3 ecosystem. We built a nimble tool that democratizes access to participate in governance over DAO treasuries. We are thrilled to see all types of communities leverage this tool for their own governance & treasury management needs. And we are proud to have built this together with RaidGuild and with the support of both MetaCartel and TalentDAO. #### Taking it back RaidGuild has always been close with Collab.Land and Collab.Land close with RaidGuild. Collab.Land spun out of MetaCartel with an explicit goal in mind, to build DAO tooling and provide web3 communities with the ability to do access-control for members. Shortly after Collab.Land got started, the tool gained significant traction and drove a ton of interest from communities outside of the DAO ecosystem, particularly DeFi in 2020 and NFT communities in 2021. Meanwhile, RaidGuild launched during ETHDenver in 2020. Also emerging out of MetaCartel, RaidGuild came together as a rag-tag group of developers, designers, and coordinators to build web3 applications. RaidGuild has grown to over 140 members and has engaged dozens of projects in the web3 ecosystem shipping on more than 130 applications since inception. RaidGuild and Collab.Land have a few things in common: mission, vision, and values. ##### Mission RaidGuild and Collab.Land don't share the exact same mission, but it's fair to say they are close and they overlap in the sense that both organizations are serving a wide array of clients, building tools for web3 projects in DeFi, NFT, and DAO communities. ##### Vision Between RaidGuild and Collab.Land, the vision is aligned: build immutable, permissionless, and censorship resistant dapps or tools for projects and the web3 ecosystem. ##### Values Both organizations have similar values, where "community first" is not a tagline but a philosophy that both organizations live by. We value diversity and create schelling points for humans from across the globe to come together and collaborate. Shipping is important to both organizations, as is upholding security, privacy, and upholding the ethos that Ethereum has instilled into the culture of web3. ### Where do we go from here? Both projects have come a long way and accomplished a ton since the early days of building in a bear market circa 2019/2020. **Collab.Land and RaidGuild are both in an incredibly strong position.** Gearing up for the next bull cycle, we have an equal opportunity to stregthen that position as builders together in the web3 ecosystem or as strategic partners charting out new paths through unknown territory. Pretty soon, Collab.Land aims to launch a token $CLBD and [Exit To Community](https://www.noemamag.com/exit-to-community/) (E2C). The token will be used in the new Collab.Land marketplace, where developers can stake $CLBD tokens to host their dapps or bot tooling and get wider distribution across all communities that use Collab.Land! In line with our goals to E2C, Collab.Land will be launching a DAO to help coordinate distributing $CLBD tokens toward initiatives Collab.Land DAO (CLDAO) wishes to see incentivized. Maybe there is an opportunity here 🤔 Remember in late 2021, RaidGuild launched an Access token, [$RAID](https://medium.com/raid-guild/why-token-why-now-4c0b8e8ea45). $RAID has limited functionality, but the access it provides is what drives its usage and the powerful tokenomics behind it. ##### $RAID Token is used for: 1. [Client queue & project submission prioritizatio](https://bids.raidguild.org/hiring-board)n 2. New Member Staking / Championing 3. [Apprentice Staking / Rite of Moloch](https://initiate-rite.xyz/) 4. Tipping in the RG server Between $RAID & $CLBD tokenomics, the relatively similar mission, vision, and values, as well as the strength and positioning that both projects exude and their potential to explode in the next bull run, there seems to be only a barrier of transparency that stands between RaidGuild and Collab.Land. ### Exploring a Strategic Partnership #### Why Collab.Land currently has a GTM of around 6M users, and post token launch that number may be as large as 90M, contingent on giving every user that is in a discord server with the Collab.Land bot installed but hasn't connected a wallet the ability to claim a token to their cloud wallet, you get the idea Collab.Land has massive reach, as big if not bigger the Coinbase by some measurement. Given the amount of users that Collab.Land has the potential to reach, and that Collab.Land is launching a marketplace for third-party devs to host their applications, it is clear the demand for building apps on this marketplace may be fairly high and that it could serve as a major distribution channel for RaidGuild products in the future. #### Storming Collab.Land and RaidGuild are in a position to work together at a scale that no other web3 native organizations have worked at before. Soon Collab.Land will be a DAO, and RaidGuild could be the first Service DAO that enters into a relationship with the Collab.Land DAO, such that any project CLDAO wants to fund would go to RaidGuild, giving priority access to build it. Further, beyond CLDAO being able to offload a good amount of Dev work to RaidGuild, there may be an opportunity for RaidGuild to retain CLDAO, such that instead of having to continuosly run consultations, scoping sessions, sprints, negotiate product builds, etc. between new teams or "Raid Partys'" and CLDAO, RaidGuild could have a team dedicated to projects coming through the CLDAO pipeline, with a relative degree of autonomy, and creating a process specific to CLDAO so Dev work could be streamlined to the Guild as soon as CLDAO ping raiders to begin work, setting clear expectations without having to repeat process, reducing admin & coordination costs. The main benefits of this relationship to RaidGuild: - Minimal Admin Overhead (same client relationships) - Clear Repeatable Process - Expectations set up front - Priority access to Collab.Land projects - Building OSS for the ecosystems benefit - Establish a new model for D2D relations The main benefits of this relationship to Collab.Land: - Build what CL users & community members want - Support the ecosystem with better tooling - Establish a new model for D2D relations - Expedite the process of idea >>> product - Support OSS and drive the ecosystem forward ### Bootstrap phase - create an initial issuance of CLBD token that is set aside for RaidGuild ($500k USD???) - Incentive alignment that have mutual incentive **$RAID <> $CLBD** - swapping of tokens - what does this look like - what are the value props - If collab.land gets RAID token - lockup - only used for grants to pay RaidGuild Projects - **Other ideas 👇!!!** *RAID is only on Gnosis Chain, how will a swap work if CL is on Mainnet & Polygon?* - the DAO will have to decide what apps are built - Use ESP for Signalling what apps should be built by the Collab.Land community! - Create simple RFP process for DAOs to claim tokens from the DAO treasury & work on their own products to ship to the Collab.Land marketplace - Collab.Land DAO rep - collab has this bag of RAID - how can we use that to deploy these bounties - Steady State (what does this look like at Scale) - what does the pipeline look like - steady state development #### FB - was exclusive to When an option is claimed, the project claiming the option would have to put in some equity or tokens, & it would give them rights to claim some RAID after a lockup period. The option would then be posted to the DAO as a standard proposal to be voted on.
