# How to claim your airdropped $SOON from Soonaverse to Shimmer Firefly

**DISCLAIMER:
You cannot buy SMR or SOON directly via Metamask.
If you see such thing there: It's a scam!**

In order to be able to claim $SOON you have to hold Soonlabs OG NFTs at the time of the airdrops. Claiming $SOON this way will move them from Soonaverse to your Shimmer Firefly wallet.

Eligible NFTs are:

1) Download the latest version of Firefly https://firefly.iota.org/ or download Tanglepay app (for mobile devices). Whatever you choose, make sure to backup/write down your seed! Normally now you should have two Firefly applications (one for Shimmer and the standard one for Miota)

2) Buy SMR on your trusted exchange and make sure you can withdraw your SMR from that exchange

3) Send these SMR to the Firefly/Tanglepay wallet you created and **NEVER EVER** to MetaMask. Also don't send your tokens directly from an exchange to Soonaverse because in case of a return/refund those tokens will go to the exchange pool and instead of your account and you will have to contact the exchange about your assets.
Always be sure you are withdrawing your SMR through the SMR network (not BEP/BSC/ERC20/...)

4) Set up Metamask incl. adding the IOTA EVM network which is included in the following manual (https://docs.soonaverse.com/en/all-users-getting-started/installing-metamask)

5) Create your Soonaverse profile (https://docs.soonaverse.com/en/all-users-getting-started/setting-up-your-profile) using the IOTA EVM network parameters provided on (4)

6) Connect your Firefly/Tanglepay wallets to your Soonaverse profile (https://docs.soonaverse.com/en/all-users-getting-started/verifying-your-iota-wallet) and verify both the Miota (iota...) and Shimmer (smr...) network addresses. For the Shimmer address you will have to use the new Shimmer Firefly and also you will need some SMR to send. Those SMR will be refunded after successful verification.
Click your way as seen in the screenshot above and when you hit "Generate new address" you just need to follow the steps there.
Now send the exact amount of SMR to the one-time-address that is provided in the payment window and mind the following points because ignoring could lead to your transaction being stuck since (for now) Soonaverse can't process such transactions, so be careful:
* Only send from wallets you own and not directly from exchanges.
* Don't set an expiration time for your transaction in Firefly.
* Not always displayed but when you're promted to "gift storage deposit" in the transaction from Firefly, do so.
* As of now Tanglepay doesn't allow decimals in $SMR transactions. So use Firefly for sending those small amounts for verification.

7) Now that you verified your Shimmer address go to your Soonaverse profile, select the Token tab and click on Claim. Then you will have to send the exact amount of $SMR to the one-time-address displayed in the new payment window (again without expiration time and with gifting storage deposit, see step #6).
**Note that the verification amount will not be refunded for claim transactions.**

8) Once your transaction has been confirmed you should see the $SOON tokens in your Shimmer Firefly as an "unverified" asset after a short time. To responsibly check the token ID of $SOON you have to go to the "token info" page of the desired token and click the shimmer Symbol in the network area top right. This brings u to the Shimmer explorer where u have to scroll down to "transaction payload" and open "foundry" on the TO side. That's the token ID.
