# Globalization WS 2023 Q3/Q4 - Incubation The Globalization Workstream expresses its gratitude to all supporters as it successfully completes another term. We are excited to present our proposal for an additional 6-month term in the DAO, allowing us to continue pursuing our objectives. Throughout the current term, we have prioritized data analysis and accountability, utilizing canonical metrics from MixPanel. Our previous term saw significant achievements, including the integration of accessible chains such as BNB, Polygon, and Gnosis, the development of FOXatars, and the introduction of new product features. We look forward to continuing our work and making further progress in the coming term from Aug/2023 to Jan/2024. # Q1 and Q2 retro This incubation aims to present the results and the new action plan of the Globalization Workstream. **Let's start with an overview around the goals of the current proposal.** #### Goal #1: 50k Global MAUs by July/2023 (6-month term) The data reveals that the actions taken by the Globalization Workstream have played a crucial role in maintaining MAUs since April. We observed a spike in MAUs followed by a decline, but the current projections indicate a positive growth trajectory. This indicates that we are regaining momentum and experiencing significant user curve retention. The graphic below illustrates the overall traffic originating from outside the US. Overall, the traffic from non-US based people is higher than US traffic, considering all countries showed on MixPanel - the world traffic represents **72%** of all ShapeShift accesses. We have always believed in the potential of the global market, and the crypto economy is becoming globalized. To tap into new markets and potential customers, we have worked closely with Onramper, Swapix and loopipay to provide payment methods that are popular in South American countries. This allows us to expand partnerships and explore revenue sources within our product. We got results with onramper where we found the solution of agregating a PIX partner in the services offered. The collective energy at these events reignites motivation within the DAO community, driving active participation and pushing decentralized innovation. Choosing events aligned with the DAO's goals ensures a worthwhile investment of time and resources. - ETH Denver: Global ops w/ Vlad - ETH Rio: Vlad's mainstage - ETH Samba: Guiriba's mainstage - ETH Barcelona (ongoing): Joanna's hackthon mentorship, side event - NFT.Brasil: Sponsorship with booth, 2 speaking opportunities, event social media presence, press release, merch, FOXatar and KeepKey launch. The highlight is the first IRL event funded 100% by the Spanish. This time, Joanna will be mentoring ETH Barcelona hackathons and hosting a branded ShapeShift side event. Let's build upon the success of the previous edition and ensure our presence at this major event in Spain. ### Globalization on demand #### Marketing and Global campaigns In addition to our established goals, the Globalization Workstream has actively supported other Workstreams by serving as a reliable marketing workforce, delivering graphic and textual content as needed. Not just supporting other workstremas We have also been actively involved in the Mercle project, providing design services and contributing our workforce to help achieve the project's goals.
