Uniswap Community Call #13 === ###### tags: `Uniswap` `Community` `Call` `Token Lists` `1 Basis Point` :::info - **Date:** Nov 3, 2021 - **Agenda** 1. Uniswap Governance Token List 2. 1 Basis Point Fee Tier Proposal ::: ## Uniswap Governance Token List 1st topic presented by Wijuwiju on What an Improved Token List means What can governance do to improve the token list? The default the token list is not being updated as much as it should be Having a better token list that new users dont get lost it Research findings The default list in Uniswap historically would prefill tokens and those would be data from a centralized list of tokens New definition created or standard created that improves upon the model of existing token lists Users could import token lists of their own to this new standard Coming up with new mechanics and bringing back this idea of a new standard or improved model of existing token lists This would encourage or reintroduce different participation in governance Token list could travel with a user through any application Extending the standard that token list follows Building on top of Ceramic network - layer on top of the ipfs that introduces a lot of different decentralized services that could support governance models for Daos Allows more transparency and ability to easily create trust amongst DAO contributors Conclusion: Tool Discussion and proposal in addition to explanation of its components and user experience Questions: How far are you into development? They are not public but in development it’s possible. Some testing and work on the UI needed To make it useable, needing help so user can upload their own token list so Uniswap service won't have to do any extra work Public version available this month Does it cost gas to deploy the token list to the IPFS? No gas involved, this is just data storage Like snapshot services Use for free - would be cool if Metamask incorporated that feature could pull information from Ceramic network Some legal liability curating a token list How do you imagine how a uniswap token list would be curated? Possibly using a hybrid version where 1. people share opinion of tokens and then 2. committee refines the token list Confirming only reputable tokens make it to the list to bring more trust Possibly having the committee first refine the list and then a public snapshot vote second Still discussing the best approach and crafting the theory Important to make transparency a key selling point to push this discussion into actionable items Some people take token lists lightly but new users shouldn’t run into scams when first identifying a token or family of tokens Speaker applied for a grant to continue to bootstrap the project and support research and development Uniletters are biweekly additions written by Wijuwiju as covering governance and discussions in the Uniswap Community Started curating Uniswap lists on twitter - all the people who work at Uniswap Labs and are the top delegators and developers Newsletter Twitter List Curating github lists using Uniswap services Compared the need for a good token list to the need for the S&P 500 in traditional finance Jeremy from Mass adoption gave a shout out to Wijuwiju for all the hard work on the token list ## 1 Basis Point Fee Tier Proposal 2nd topic presented by Boris on the upcoming proposal to add 1 Basis Point Fee Tier to make Uniswap more prepared and hardened for stablecoin pairs. Team behind the proposal spoke on the Community Call 8 or 9 Today, we invite the community to vote because the team excited about the proposal It's important to vote to support and continue to bolster Uniswap governance - remaining competitive Will it update Optimism and Arbitrum deployments as well? Discussing the impact this change would have on the different scaling solution for the blockchain Discussing how to be proactive about the how the proposal will affect existing services
