# Azortharion's Hunter Guide to Patch 12.0.5 Voidforge
## Bonus Roll System

Some factors to keep in mind:

1. Raid Items take 2 Bonus Rolls. However, late raid bosses often have several items that are a solid upgrade or Crest savers.
2. M+ Items from Bonus Roll are 1/6 Myth (272).
3. Different dungeons have different #'s of items that can drop, affecting the chance of getting what you want. Since Bonus Rolls are a limited resource, it's not as simple as "what is the best item", but "what item has the best DPS per Bonus Roll Spent on average trying to get it".
4. Loot Spec matters. Always think of whether you can swap loot spec to make the loot pool smaller. For example, if you're an SV Hunter who wants Gaze, you should go MM/BM loot spec on Chimaerus, so that you will not get the 2H weapon.
### Priority 1: Mythic Weapon (if you do not have one already)
*Only do this if you have no Mythic Weapon at all. It is not worth bonus rolling just to get better stats on an item of equal track/iLvl. Yes, this includes Crafts.*
- BM's best weapon is **Maisara Caverns**, which also has a small loot pool, giving you good odds of a weapon.
- MM's best weapon is **Skyreach**, which also has a small loot pool, giving you good odds of a weapon.
- Virtually every SV Hunter has a Crafted Dagger. It is not worth bonus rolling for an off-hand Dagger. But if you did not craft a Dagger, thenSV gets a choice between going for a 1/8 chance of the best M+ Dagger from Skyreach (Haste>Mast), or a 1/6 chance of a not-so-good M+ Dagger from Nexus-Point Xenas. It is kind of a tough call, but I think I'd pick Nexus Point here. It also has a very good Cloak, Bracers, and the ring set bonus + Legs to Catalyst. You might wanna check out the tool listed under Priority 3 below to make this choice.
- If you already have a Crafted Weapon, I would not spend Bonus Rolls on trying to get a Mythic Weapon this way. Move on.
### Priority 2: Algeth'ar Puzzle Box
- BiS for all 3 specs and is the item that has the biggest innate advantage over any other item in its slot. It's not just about its simDPS, but it is also about **when** that DPS occurs. Bursty Trinkets are nearly always better than "flat" ones.
- Go slam Algeth'ar Academy, basically. It's either this, or hope for Vault, the Trinket is kinda non-optional.
### Priority 3: It depends.

At this point, things diverge a lot depending on your character and as I was writing this section, it just got super long and complicated. So, I decided to try and vibecode a tool that would quantify this for your character.

1. Run **4** Droptimizer Sims for Mythic Season 1 Raids + Mythic+. Run one sim with "Base level" iLvl, and another with full 289 upgrade. It's a bit annoying but worth your time IMO. Leave "Upgrade equipped" disabled.
2. Copypaste the URL's into the tool's URL boxes.
3. Hit 'Load All'.
4. Check through the top options. If it lists an item that you already have on Myth Track, then tick it.
5. It will tell you what the best places to bonus roll are.
