:::
## 1. Review programme and data
## 2. Review Miro board outcomes/themes
## 3. Next steps
_Points for discussion:_
- Re-run the programme as it is with small tweaks (e.g. peer-mentoring groups)
- Centralise the resources
- Re-design peer-mentoring/community building aspect
- What do we need to hear next from participants? This can help shape what we do next/_how_ we run it again/map aspects of delivery
- Re-run the programme with funding
- What would funding allow us to do?
- Formalising membership with Carpentries? Toby currently exploring ways to engage more.
- Funding to bring participants to the Turing to do a networking/community-building event at the Turing.
- Out-of-budget proposal for this. Tie it to the wider IG activity and growing the IG membership.
- Put some funding into surveys and consultations with different educator groups. -> find out what different educators need
- Offer recompensation for speakers. How can we do this? What is our incentive structure? We need to take this through appropriate channels: put it on paper and have guidelines. Can we use a process that is already established?
- Contextualise the programme and run for different audiences (e.g. government, teachers)
- Develop an online platform for async information sharing (?)
- Make big changes to the programme e.g. seek to modularise/align with PGCert/integrate into CDT
- Put the programme on hold and focus on writing an academic / proof-of-concept paper
- 6-months down the line impact survey might help here
- ISMB educators group. Stepping stone to writing an academic paper - present at a conference.
Themes from applications were around 'open science' and 'community'.
What community are you building? Connect the DSEIG and the programme much better. Have something for people to come together.
Ask previous participants to come back and share some of their best practices. Engage community.
| Definitely do | Don't do for now | Maybe? |
| -------- | -------- | -------- |
| Rerun in 2023 online with in person elements | Academic Paper | Carpentries membership |
| More linking with the DSEIG | | Moodle course |
| Funding for accessibility, honoraria & events | | Illustrations / infographics |
| Guidebook / platform for DS&AI educator resources | | Contextualise the programme for different audiences (start with academics? early to mid-career?) |
| Review curriculum and make amendments | | Endorsement mechanism from universities / academic institutions |
| Review mentoring / community building setup w/ previous participants too | | |
