# LITE survey ![](https://i.imgur.com/BpHSfB8.png) - Useful for your data analysis to separate into 2 questions: one on soft skills and one on technical skills - Branching question is good --- ![](https://i.imgur.com/tzC0mNq.png) - Consider a branching question here for 'no' - why don't they want to receive training? It may help identify 'perceived' areas of strength (as well as gaps) --- ![](https://i.imgur.com/zh8lA5W.png) - Perhaps you can re-word to something like: 'How are you preparing your students for their future careers?' - By signposting potential post-educational goals for the student to apply their knowledge/skills - Teaching how to learn, addressing fundamental and reusable concepts and skills that give students the tools to learn further - Providing them with soft skills e.g. time management, communication etc. - Other --- ![](https://i.imgur.com/jMRYLzb.png) - This question assumes that educators already know what key data skills are required by industry. Consider a question prior to this that establishes if the educator knows the skills required by industry. This question could then become a branching question? --- ![](https://i.imgur.com/nXLL1tv.png) - Might be useful to include the data and skills note here so that educators don't have to go back to re-read for clarification. --- ![](https://i.imgur.com/UQrCMcX.png) - Do these two questions assume what the gaps are in our curricula? --- ## Overall - Covers what it sets out to achieve: - Identifies gaps in workforce requirements, skills of educators and therefore skills taught to students - Consider questions where participants rate their confidence? e.g. 'To what extent do you agree with the following statements:' 1. I know what skills are required by industry... 2. ... 3. ... 4. ... - Imagine looking through the data. What will it say that will help you? Are the questions streamlined enough for you to easily analyse the information? -
