Look at order - Carpentries Pedagogy - Identifying learner needs/gaps - Challenges (and overview of) teaching DS and AI - Launching, hosting and maintaining your training programme - Designing training for live delivery vs. self-paced learning - Ethics in the context of training - Widening participation in teaching - Continuous evaluation and implementation of user/learner feedback - Making learning memorable - Collaboration between industry and academia - Product management, sustainability, legacy and entrepreneurship 2. Consider running some kind of focus groups/surveys to identify the needs of our target audience? This might help refine our curriculum offering. - Newcastle have funding for YouGov survey - Design out the survey to answer questions that matter to the programme. - Big picture: what are the barriers/gaps for each of the 3 groups (businesses, educators, learners) // (data skills/data science and AI teaching). - Sessions @ Newcastle and DST to identify questions that should be asked. Soon-to-be a session with Alliance for Data SCience Professionals. - Quick update re Luisa // DSEIG - How do we utilise their local DSEIG? - What sort of challenges does that group face? - Share speakers, when needed. - Could there be local groups? What would be daunting about starting this?
