Embedding Ethics into teaching: the background (7 June, 13:30 - 15:00) - To discuss what is meant by ethics - what is our common understanding? - To understand what ethics means in the context of data science and AI and in the context of teaching - To be able to convince others of the value of ethics in your field ::: :::info ## 2. Embedding Ethics into teaching: let's get practical (14 June, 13:30 - 15:00) - To give insight as to how embedding ethics into a curriculum became a project for you - To share the successes and challenges you have faced so far, and how this has adapted your work - To share your experience of embedding ethics into a curriculum at all stages of teaching (planning, delivery and assessment) and to showcase to educators how they might be able to begin to apply this in their own field - To reflect on how embedding ethics into the curriculum has been and any next steps/learning points ::: ## Proposed structure of the sessions: • An intro, led by the Skills Team (10 minutes) • The main session (45 minutes) • A breakout exercise (15 minutes) • Feedback from the breakout rooms and Q&A session (10 - 15 minutes) • A wrap-up and closing remarks, led by the Skills team (5 minutes)
