# Vacation NEAR # NFT booking system for hotels and vacation clubs ## A way for people to book their hotel nights, excursions, reservations, and total vacation packages with NFTs on the NEAR ecosystem <h4>this would be for both single use NFTs and vacation club/timeshare memberships</h4> *** ### The main purpose behind the project will be to bring a real world utility to NFTs made posible by the speed and low cost to mint on the NEAR protocol ## Users will be able to buy, trade, gift, collect, and of course use NFTs that will have real world utility, whether it is for a one time weekend away or a 30 day a year timeshare *** :::success ### Sequence of events for a user to buy a vacation package NFT ## One time use NFTs: - the users will log in to their NEAR wallet to collect their NFTs, making sure all guests have one. - this will help on-board more users and get people to better understand the possibilities of NFTs beyond Art and collectables. - NFTs will be for sale from resort directly, on nft auction sites, in the NEARhub multiverse, and we expect a secondary market to develop - The NFT will grant the user access to the booking site when they want to choose their dates to use the nft. - the NFT will be traded as the payment for the booking. ## timeshare NFTs: - the users will of course need a NEAR wallet to collect their NFTs, making sure all guests have one. - this will help on-board more users and get people to better understand the possibilities of NFTs beyond Art and collectables. - NFTs will be for sale from the resort directly, on NFT auction sites, in NEARHub. We also expect a secondary market to develop - These NFTs will not expire, but will be good for 3-60 days each year, as the use the days they will be deducted for the account, each year they will be restored - These users will be part of a DAO giving them one vote for every night the NTF comes with - The DAO will give users a say in how the property is run, and a place to help build the community around the project. -A percent of revenue will be under the control of the DAO. ::: *** :::info ### The original project is an echo resort on the Bacalar seven color lagoon. - we have designed the resort on a closed loop and sustainable plan, using nature and ingenuity to build systems that our time there will improve the land and soil, while keeping the water table untouched buy our use - NEAR fits our plan in several ways. - Keeping with closed loop and streamlining philosophy the security, transparency, and organisation of blockchain will streamline the booking side and take less resources to run, NEAR makes minting NFTs a possibility, on most chains it would be cost prohibitive. - as a currency NEAR is fast and cost effective so once our guests all have their nfts and wallets it's easy to use NEAR as a currency at the resort - We love the fact that NEAR is a carbon neutral block chain ::: *** # Timeline of project <h3> Break ground on the resort November 2021 <h3> <h4> - release first round of NFTs for sale (feb 2022) - Launch web 3 interface for nft booking system (feb 2022) - open with resort with NEAR POS intagration </h4> :::success <h3>Summary</h3> While we do have a specific project in mind, we see this as a model that could change the hotel industry, improving users booking experience and providing transparency, security, and trustless transactions for the hotels, add cost saving and you have the winning equation for implementation. :::
