# Choosing a Custom ROM

Choosing a Custom ROM to use can be a hard task, so here I am trying to fix that!

## Criteria to look out for

There are many things you can hold an eye out for when choosing a Custom ROM, some are looking for better battery life, some are looking for enhanced performance, or extra UI customization options.

Generally, there are a couple of things I would advise one to think about before they go out and pick a ROM:

- Stability
Do I need my ROM to be rock-solid, and not have any crashes?
- Customization
Do I need my ROM to have many different options?
- Battery Life
Does my ROM need to have better battery life than the included one?
- Privacy and Security
Do I need or want enhanced Privacy and Security?
- Performance
Do I need additional options to tweak performance?
