Starting my journey into software engineering at blockfuse labs has been quite amazing,intresting and inspiring. As someone stepping into the world of technology and cat like curiousity and desire to learn and exceed expectation, This first week i have somuch to share already let me offer a glimse into the software engineering world and a also a glimpse of becoming a competent software Engineer.
## FIRST CLASS
>To show that we hit the ground running,we had our first lecture by the fouder himself Adaaku Peter jnr nicked named ScarFace i love the name.
>He took us through the basics after a little threat of how diciplined the lab is and won't take lackluster persons.
>1. The differnce between a developer and an engineer.
>2. Machine language
>3. Types of Programming Language
>4. Types of Translators
## DAY 2: Computer Fundamentals
The second class had really driven us to the fundamental. They facililators where quite intense walking us through step by step trying to make sure everyone is carried along. The calculations was also most driving me crazy but they explained and i fully grasp to our undestanding of binary,and how the computer reviews,processes and output data with several references to all ASCII table for example decimals,hexedecimal etc.
>He took us through the fundamentals;
1.Define of a Computer
2.Types of Computer
3.Generations of Computers
4.Data and its representations
5.Computer Architecture (Havard and Von Neumann)
## DAY 3: Operating Systems
The facilator was quite eccentric and used many refrences to explain and expantiate to us and for us to understand the subject by the end of the lectures. It was quite hands on as we all opened our systems to try out the commands on our linux interface through our terminals.
>He took us through;
1.Definition of an Operating system
2.key Fuctions
3.User interactions and interfaces
4.Types of Operating Systems
>5. Terminals and Commands
### CONCLUSION
Concise and precisely taught with somuch expertise was show by the facilitators to ensure the right information was dished out and leaned. What i love is the daily assignments are given, encouraged personal research and engaments.
Blockfuse labs encourages curiosity and asking questions. Because, The more you ask,the more you learn.
The week was quite an eye opener and a adequate primer for what's to come.
