**Instructions for adding Scriberia images to Turing Way Book**
1. Select an image from the last few versions of scriberia images on zenodo and download it to your computer.
1. Link to zenodo archive of images - [https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.8169292](https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.8169292)
1. Think of a good place in the book to add the image , search the book for relevant pages, or ask someone which chapter or sub-chapter it could go in.
1. Write a comment on issue #3331 with the name of the image you have chosen to add to the book

1. Check image has not been uploaded in figure folder on GitHub repo
1. Go to Turing way github repository, click on book folder, then website folder, then figures folder. Browse the images to see if yours is already there. If not, go to point 5.
1. Please note that you can reuse images in multiple places in the book so if the image file is already in the folder and you have found a different place for the image, please go ahead an add it. Just be careful to note the name of the image file as you need this in the code you add to the chapter or subchapter markdown file.
1. Start a new branch in The Turing Way GitHub repo with the image name and do the changes and additions in the branch you have created.
1. Add image to the figure folder
1. Go to figure folder and click on upload file on top right of screen.
1. Drag and drop your file or choose file from your computer to add it.
1. Add a commit message and then make sure you commit to the right branch.
1. Add in code and link for the file
1. Find the code in the community handbook, in the style guide, it's the using figures sub chapter.
1. Copy the code needed to add images
1. Paste this into the markdown file for the page you want to add the image to.
1. Change the code to include the right file name in the link and where it says file name.
1. Add/write alt text and add to file
1. Change the alt text to text that is appropriate for your image. Ask for a review of this text if you are not
sure. There are some tips in using figures page of the community handbook.
