The D2C2 project is a joint project between Chemnitz University of Technology, Leipzig University and Dresden University of Technology. Since a lot is happening in the project in the direction of Open Science, we thought it would be helpful if Kathrin could inform us about the objectives of the project and where there are points of contact and opportunities for exchange for us OSIP members. A second point is that TUC in particular is doing an excellent job of raising interest in open science among students and actively involving them.

Discussion:

Great project, there are currently many projects going in the same direction (e.g. SachsFDM, data competence centers). Question of how to integrate the many parallel structures in order to avoid diffusion and have contact persons. How to proceed with D2::C2 ( permanentization)
D2C2 has a strong focus on students, everything is presented nicely and in bits and pieces.
Student OS statement nice, but is there enough room in teaching to acquire the necessary skills?
Journal Club: Funds for print products and design come from the project, but already existed before.

Fewer and fewer participants (sometimes none at all). Idea: Affiliation to OSIP and use OSIP as a platform once a semester and set aside 45 minutes? The hope is that people would still take this as part of OSIP, but not make extra time for it. Thematically, it would fit. Focus more on students? Time slot, preparation/preparation, advertising
Make the title catchier

The next OSIP meeting is sheduled for July 31 at 2:30 pm. The link to will be sent out via the mailing list about one week before the meeting. All OSIPs are welcome to propose topics.
