📍 AfrofutureDAO
Afrofuture is a Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO) whose objective is to unlock the value of Africa's history and creative industries in Web3 by onboarding African artists into the opportunities of web 3 and NFTs.
Along with the launch of the first partner, the Mohamed Amin Foundation AfrofutureDAO launched its Ethereum-based social currency called [$Afrofuture]
AfrofutureDAO on Ethereum is open sourced with an ERC20 governance token that has a Ticker Symbol of AFTR and a Total supply of 100,000,000.
Anyone can acquire Afrofuture tokens on Uniswap by a simple swap and just like that the tokens are interchanged
This governance token grants the holder
- Access the AfrofutureDAO Vault.
- Access to token-gated Discord governance channel
- Access the Metaverse Club.
- Vote on proposals and Artists to be commissioned

🧠 Process
Every quarter, five (5) NFTs from the Mohamed Amin Collection are auctioned off to collectors with proceeds from each sale going towards building and sustaining the $Afrofuture community.
Each quarter, as well as 5 incredible African Artists, are commissioned, through these quarterly NFT drops Afrofuture aims to catalyze dialogue about the stories and context behind these African stories while using $Afrofuture to organize creative efforts towards inspiring its future.
To be a commissioned artist under the ecosystem the individual will first need to apply for the $AFTR grants. Then the AfrofutureDAO team decides on the best ten (10) that meets the criteria. Token holders will now choose the Top five (5), garnting the Team approval to send confirmation email to each of the selected artist for the Cohort.

- Open Mic - Every Wednesday 5PM WAT / 7PM EAT / 11AM EST we host community thought leaders, Ecosystem leads and Community memebers on Twitter Spaces. We stimulate conversation on NFT / Blockchain development & evolution in Africa. Every Participant on at this event gets a FREE NFT BADGE
- Afrofuture Radio - Thursdays 4PM WAT / 6PM EAT / NOON EST, we party and discuss Audio NFT. The guest chats with the host on their Audio (Music) NFT discovery and motivation. This is a project to celebrate African songs minted on the Blockchain as we celebrate the milestone of African Creatives. Participants are awarded Proof of Attendance Protocol {POAP} join this event on Twitter.

🚧 Projects
- Africa Metaverse Fund - This Project was conceptualized as a Web3 platform for museums & cultural institutions to monetize their archives.
- Quarterly Drop - This is our flagship project centered on creating opportunities for African creatives to soar. Five (5) fantastic creators are onboarded and commissioned to drop unique pieces. Similarly, 5 rare African Assets are dropped from the vault. Some of our drops can be accessed on The foundation App.
- ArtStorm Project - This collaborative project was executed in conjuction with Eth Safari,Public Space Network and About Art Africa. This collaboration leverages the power of art and decentralized technology to support and promote the creation of green art spaces in urban areas in Africa. As the NFT Partner, we transitioned, onboarded, and worked with 23 Artists to mint a collection on the foundation. The Collection termed African Streets of the Future tells stories of a Futuristic Africa.
