(An MEG research has reported increased theta for anomalous stimulus in the occipital area, but why do we see this pattern only in the right hemisphere? cf. "Top" view). </span></font>

<font size="2"><span style="color:black"> - Although seemingly weak, the left temporal pole effect (i.e., larger activity for "Expected") appears again in the 300-600ms.
- Anomalous > Expected in the right inferior frontal lobe at around 500ms and later. </span><span></font>

3. Unexpected - Anomalous

<font size="2"><span style="color:black">- Anomalous showing more activity than Unexpected in left temporal pole, ventral part of LIFG, areas along the Sylvian fissure. Increased theta for Anomalous than Unexpected seems to be consistent with prior literature on theta. </span></font>

>b. Right
<font size="2"><span style="color:black">- Increased activity for Anomalous than Unexpected in the right lateral occipital (200-500ms). This doesn't seem to be just a visual surprisal. </span></font>

>c. Bottom
<font size="2"><span style="color:black">- Anomalous > Unexpected in the left temporal pole (400-700ms). At 300-600ms, there seems a small blob on the temporal pole, but the size is smaller than the Expected > Unexpected effect in the same region. </span></font>

<font size="2"><span style="color:black">- the left temporal pole effect at 300-600ms appears again for Expected > Pseudo. These seem to indicate the sensitivity of left temporal pole to "expected" stimulus, at 300-600ms but not later.
- Expected > Pseudo in the ventral part of LIFG at 700ms and later. </span></font>
