Whether that source has to do with fake news (misinformation, disinformation, malinformation), filter bubbles, commitment media programs, etc., it is important to be aware that all of these concepts show how easily humans in today's society can be manipulated into following misleading, internet information that doesn't necessarily have to be accurate. In addition, each article makes it more than clear how our information is being exposed for advertising purposes. Whether it is for engaging us with the content we see, our information can make us think our beliefs are the only ones out there due to only seeing content that is relevant to our interests, which is basically what "filter bubbles do." Awareness is highly important, and filter bubbles don't fully allow you to do this as the revealed content will link to your personal interests. Thankfully, as stated in "How Filter Bubbles Distort Reality: Everything You Need to Know," using an ad-blocking browser extension, reading news sites and blogs that aim to provide a wide range of perspectives, switching our focus from entertainment to education, using incognito browsing, and blocking browser cookies are all great ways to avoid being influenced by filter bubbles. Moreover, adding on to how sources aren't always trustworthy. It is valid to highlight the importance of questioning a reference to determine its credibility. Whenever we are searching and thinking that a source is credible, it is always important to question it. Sometimes people may think a source is credible when in reality, it can be biased. So in order to provide the most accurate results and not believe things that aren't fully accurate and misleading, it is important to follow, be aware, and understand everything stated in this article regarding the internet and its power.
