# Take this as a draft, today I don't have more time to review your proposal. But think is a good start to understand each other (sorry but seems my english was not good enough to express myself, hope this start to fix our understanding and communications) # Answers ***Have we understood your concerns correctly, or are there any other concerns we can address?*** It's all very well, building an alternative for filmmakers and video enthusiasts, not for everyone. Building a platform for everyone is a big project for which we don't have the resources, it takes high investments and a big team of people working 24/7 in to the project. It has never been my purpose to create something like that. Why I created producciones2c -> patinencomun -> skatebtc ->skatehype (and I think some other project that didn't see the light of day). Because it served me as a testbed for my work as a developer and I liked Skateboarding, maybe I've gone too far with this. ***Under what conditions would you make SkateHype open source? Or allow us to copy the code, and make our own open source version?*** I'm not going to give away 15 years of work just because we collaborated for a few months. I'm not at all comfortable with the idea of opening the code. What I like to continue doing - To code in my spare time at my own pace because I like it. Doing it without answering to anyone, because it's my hobby, not my job. - Looking for ways to train and stay young to skate as many days as I can. ***And now the hard question. How were you planning to make SkateHype a success, before we helped add monetization?*** The plan was to seek to monetize filmers, not everyone. But now we have "Hive for every post" through SkateHive Community group, but this is not a success. As I have discussed with @arcange (Hive dev), success is having a full team paid every month. Right now Hive's remuneration is not even enough to pay the server costs, that's far from success. And most important, as I said, I'm not interested in working to get *success* or working at the point of *success*. If you believe in your project, find devs, find investors and build your own platform or make me an offer. You can use skatehype.com as proof of concept or reference. # SkateHive and SkateHype partnership **Not interested in:** - Discord, the less discord the better for me. - CashForTrick funding (I'll try to fund it from DHF from October or just remove the contest). - Moderators or any support. - Onboard "everyone", I just wanna onboard filmers with his own crew. Filming is a motivation to skateboarding, this should be the support, I don't wanna support everyone, just filmers and photographers, but, if you need to do "random onboard" I'll try to deal with it. After reading your proposal, my proposal to start from October onwards is: **Skatehype offers to skatehive:** - FUNDING: 75% of Cash For Tricks post payouts from Skatehive (25% goes to the author, same like now) / 75% of best content brief if there is no CFT. - ONBOARDING: Use integrated onboard system for free (I'll try to DHF this with CFT). - BRANDING: Keep peakd skatehive community links. ![](https://i.imgur.com/rHK9jFP.png) **Skatehive offers to skatehype:** - Will vote only 2 (quality) post per day (max 1 per user per day) In this order: Best video / Best part / Best edit / Best trick / Best photo. **Comunication:** - Must be in writing and response time will depend on availability.
