# eln.epfl.ch ... some numbers, facts and faqs eln.epfl.ch is a fork of the open-source project https://github.com/cheminfo/roc-eln-docker. This fork is available on https://c4science.ch/ and contains private tools for analytical requests as well as importation scripts of over 20 kinds of instruments used at ISIC. The project started back in October 2012 when the first code that allows to create applications directly in the browser was created by Norman Pellet. ## over 200'000 downloads per week eln.epfl.ch relies on numerous libraries that were developed during this project and published on npm. All the libraries are available under MIT license and the source code is available in one of those 5 organizations: https://github.com/cheminfo https://github.com/mljs https://github.com/image-js https://github.com/cheminfo-js https://github.com/cheminfo-py We have currently published 179 packages on npm and last week our packages have been downloaded 237520 times by developers! Here are some numbers for selected packages: - ml-matrix (24060 downloads): a package dealing with matrices https://www.npmjs.com/package/ml-matrix - tiff (2454 downloads): a package to load TIFF images in the browser without quality loss - fast-png (8818 downlods): a package that allows to load PNG images in the browser without quality loss - openchemlib (904 downloads): a library dealing with chemical structures - netcdfjs (328 downloads): package to load mass spectra (and other data in the CDF format) ## 63 contributors eln.epfl.ch would not be possible without the 63 programmers that have contribute to those projects ! ## Where are my data ?
