# Hackatoshi’s flying circuit - Code of Conduct
## The Basics
Please bear in mind that dozens of people participate in the event on the venue (including participants, staff, contractors, volunteers, visitors etc.) as well as that part of the event might take place in the open world where you might be interacting with other people that have nothing to do with the event. We believe that all of you are here to have fun and create something great. However in order to ensure that this event is a pleasant and memorable experience for everyone we expect you to keep up with the following standard of behavior:
1. Respect rights of others - "Being all equal and independent, no one ought to harm another in his life, health, liberty, or possessions." - John Locke; The goal of the event is to incite a positive change and not to harm anybody. Everybody is expected to not infringe on the rights of others.
2. Respect the law ‑ We are a collection of cypherpunks and other free spirited individuals and this event is about testing the limits and going to the edge, however the law still applies. Breaking a law might result in a criminal or an administrative prosecution. Nobody wants to handle SWAT team at the venue... so please be cautious. It's not the law we are worried about, it's you, our precious hacker.
3. Respect diversity and personality of others ‑ You will meet a whole lot of people during the event that might look, think or behave differently and that is welcomed here. Also bear in mind that this is not a speedating event.
4. Respect privacy of others ‑ Make sure you use personal information only with consent of the involved individual. It is ok to take a photo or make a video from the event as a keepsake. However if there is anybody else involved, seek their permission first. Respect anybody protecting their privacy; if they are wearing sunglasses and a mask, perhaps they do not want to be on your stream...
5. Respect intellectual property ‑ We are here to create something new and unorthodox that is going to be published for everyone to use. Please do not undermine this goal by including copyrighted or by other means protected material.
6. Respect the noncommercial status ‑ Common networking is encouraged however it is not ok to advertise or sell your products during the event nor is ok to transform the event into mass job interview. Sell your stuff somewhere else and remember that it is a closed season for headhunting.
7. Remember that you are liable for your actions ‑ You are fully legally competent person (and a grownup) so remember that your actions cause reactions. Failing to live up to the above mentioned expectations might get you expelled from the event. Infringing rights of others might bring a legal action upon your head. Breaking a law might get you in jail, expelled from country or fined.
If you have any questions concerning this Code of Conduct or any other matter concerning the event, you are welcome to ask the staff at the venue or contact the organizers via the contact details provided below.
Thank you for reading and acting in accordance with this Code of Conduct, have fun and welcome!
