### Why request this grant, and specifically what aspect(s) of your project will this grant be supporting? Hello. We are Smol, a group of builders developing simple, functional and user friendly dapps that solve common crypto user pain points. We're requesting a grant to reward contributors as to date all 6 Smol dapps (5 of which are live on arbitrum) were developed without a fee and as a public good. ----- ### Provide a short summary of your project, with bullet points of key aspects you want to highlight. Smol builds simple, beautiful and most importantly functional blockchain dapps designed to help users solve crypto pain points without complexity or fear. ### Project Sector Decentralized Finance ("DeFi") Gaming NFTs Social Tooling Front-End Applications Infrastructure Artificial Intelligence [selected] Other: answer: We have dapps that cover tooling, DeFi and NFT. We've highligted 'other' as we couldn't select multiple. ----- #### Provide background on each team member in an executive, founder, or financial control role (including links to relevant social accounts) along with their relevant experience. Our team hails from the underwater den of LobsterDAO and Yearn contributors who want to make useful dapps for the ethereum ecosystem. https://twitter.com/0xMajor - dev, https://twitter.com/ncerovac - dev, ops, biz https://twitter.com/saltyfacu - dev, ops, biz https://twitter.com/draper_forms - marketing, biz We operate with a flat structure as equal contributors. ----- ### How big is your team currently, and what are your expansion plans? (specify number of development and non-development members) We are currently 4 core contributors, but we are always open to other contributors excited about building small dapps as public goods (with already 3 more contributors showing interest). Our expansion plans are to continue to build dapps in line with our product mission (to build simple, functional and useful ethereum dapps) and to bring these apps to more chains. ----- ### What are some of the obstacles or challenges that could arise in the development of your project, and how do you plan to mitigate them? As public good builders, we currently have no fees nor regular income. We currently operate via donations and grants. This type of financing is not long term sustainable and could slow our ability to develop new dapps. We are also exploring ways to add fees on future dapps where logical, but currently all our dapps are free to use. ----- ### What problem is your project working to solve? All our dapps seek to make common crypto tasks easier for people. Whether this is migrating NFTs from one wallet to another or selling mutliple tokens in a single tx - all Smol dapps seek to be functional and simple at all times. Here's our 6 current Smol Dapps: Disperse app - to disperse erc20 tokens https://smold.app/disperse erc20 migrator - simple migrator for erc20 tokens https://smold.app/migratooor nft migrator - same as erc20 but for nfts https://smold.app/nftmigratooor tokenlistooor - automated and uptodate token list fork of uniswap tokenlist https://smold.app/tokenlistooor gib.to - create a simple donation page in seconds https://gib.to/ dump.service - swap multiple erc20 to one (currently only working on chains supporting cowswap since it uses it for sandwich and front run protection) https://dump.services/ Multisafe - gives people a simple way to have one Safe address on different chains. https://smold.app/safe ----- ### How will your project add sustainable value to the Arbitrum ecosystem? To continue to improve the smol dapps currently live on arbitrum, bringing Dump Services to arb, and also developing and launching new dapps to help improve the onchain experience for Arbitrum users. We are currently developing a way to easily launch and deoploy Safes on Arbitrum (with the same address as your mainnet safe). We'd also love to hear if Arbitrum users have any pain points that we could help solve. ----- ### How is your project currently doing? Discuss metrics such as total value locked, daily active users, transaction volume, unique addresses, and/or any other key performance indicator your team is tracking. need help! ----- ### Please detail (in separate paragraphs) each MILESTONE that your team tracks to define success for your project as it relates to your Grant Request (ie: if your grant request pertains to development over the next six months, include milestones over that period. You can share your longer-term project plan in supporting links or documents upload) Include the following for each milestone: (a) the milestone itself, (b) your current progress towards this milestone, (c) expected date of achievement, (d) which KPIs you track related to this milestone, and (e) how you measure your milestone/KPI progress We expect roughly one milestone for every 2 to 3 months of the project's timeline. Note: This question is vital to consideration of your application. To avoid application delays, please address each point for each milestone and ensure your response is complete. Refer to the Milestone Guidance on our Notion page for guidance. https://arbitrumfoundation.notion.site/Understanding-KPIs-Milestones-85e628abdb0640f1a3c280fb26e19934 Answer: Retroactive milestone: (A) Develop small usefull dapps and deploy them on arbitrum (B) deployed 7 dapps, 6 work on arbitrum atm, since dump service is using cowswap in the background so once arbitrum onboard cowswap, dump service can work there too (C) already done (D) ATM main milestone we can track are number of users of dapps and visitors. (E) # of transactions & number of visitors Future Milestone: (a) Deploy module to create SAFE with same address on multiple L2s (b) testing dapp atm and finishing frontend (c) next 14 days (d) number of safes created via dapp (e) number of safes on different chains users spin out via our dapp ----- ### Provide links to any relevant sources of data relating to your project, where available (ie: Dune dashboard, web traffic monitoring page, etc) help! ----- ### Provide a high-level budget breakdown for your project that supports how you arrived at the requested funding value and where this amount will be spent. Grant money will be used to reward contributors from time to time + to pay services we use. like domains, servers, RPCs, indexers etc. ----- ### Grant payments provided through the Foundation Grant Program are tied to the completion of milestones. Given your budget and milestones described above, please outline your ideal allocation of funding across your presented milestones and approval date allocation. Note: In many cases, a smaller part of the grant amount is made available upon approval and KYC clearance; the remaining amount is allocated across milestone progress. Keep this in mind when completing this section, as applications seen to be mis-aligning funding needs with milestone funding requests are more likely to have their applications revised or rejected. The Smol team is dedicated delivering small usefull dapps that people can use. 5 have already been launched on Aribitrum and we plan to continue to develop more. We seek to ask 70% of the grant for these retroactive dapps already deployed. And 30% once we make our new dapp (SAFE deployment with same address on multiple chains). NOTE: have in mind that 99% process for assessing our grant will be slower, and this safe dapp will already be live on arbitrum. ----- ### Have you applied for any other Grants or received external funding for this project? If so, please provide details (including date of grant request, grant receipt or external funding). yes, zkevm polygon team rewarded us a grant of 10000 usd 20 days ago. The terms of the request were similar to this one. ----- ### Please elaborate on your project's legal status, where legal entities are incorporated and which jurisdictions your team members are operating from. Few multisigs, and github repo. no entities. Myself (nemo) I am based in Serbia and I'll do KYC for the team. Rest of the team members are pseudo-anonymous. But all respected and reputable yearn contributors for 2+ years ----- #### Are there any further details or information you wish to add that would support your grant application? No futher details, but just a desire to end with the thought that Smol remains committed to its founding purpose of continuing to improve the onchain experience for users on the ethereum mainnet and L2s.
