## Geyser Fund

Lightning has struck the popular board game of Monopoly! Join us in our project where we have set out to create a fun and familiar way to learn about Bitcoin and sound money principles.

Are you looking for an engaging and educational way to learn or spread the word about the world of Bitcoin, then look no further than 'Bitcoinopoly', a board game created by a group of Bitcoin enthusiasts that met in Bitcoin Beach, El Salvador.

The game is structured around a dedicated LNbits extension, which allows players to gain hands-on experience with scanning QR codes, making payments, and interacting with a lightning wallet, all while playing the game that are familiar to so many. The extension serves as an accounting system that ensures every satoshi is properly tracked and allocated throughout the game and provides as seemless experience for newcoiners to get hands-on experience with lightning.

In addition to providing a fun and interactive way to learn about Bitcoin and its underlying technology, 'Bitcoinopoly' also includes a variety of questions and lightweight challenges related to personal finance. As players navigate the game board and make transactions with one another, they will be presented with scenarios and questions that test their understanding of key concepts such as sound money, saving, and inflation, Bitcoin history etc.

We strive for ease of use and we hope that this can be a fun and light way to start the conversation and the orange pilling of family and friends.
We are committed to making 'Bitcoinopoly' open source, so anyone can access the game's code, access printable boards etc.

### Game

Age limitations? Same as original game? Handling real money could be a limiting factor? Is there a legal implication to this?

Gameplay: funding amounts? Predefined? Or up to the players? Minimum amount of sats? Minimum amount for transactions? Maximum amount? We don’t want some kids to play with 100$ but we can think of it as a game to learn how to use money.

Rebranding to Bitcoin culture: maybe let’s play the game together as a brainstorming session to suggest ideas. How can we play it remotely?
