# Bloomberry Unit buys 1.94 million shares as sponsor compensation
Philippine-listed casino operator Bloomberry Resorts said the board of its subsidiary Bloomberry Resorts & Hotels spent less than 14.9 million PHP ($263,631) in market trading on Monday.
Bloombury Resorts & Hotels purchased about 1.94 million shares of its parent company at prices ranging from PHP7.50 to PHP7.70, respectively. The majority, 1.18 million shares, were priced at PHP7.70 per share.
The entire stock will be "rewarded to Solaire's loyal customers and as part of Solaire's marketing program," the parent company said in a filing Tuesday.
The group operates Solare Resort & Casino in the Philippine capital of Manila, and in May opened another gaming complex, Solare Resort North, in the city of Quezon, northeast of Manila.
Soler Resorts North will begin VIP operations in early September, the property promoter confirmed to GGRAsia.
The parent company last week reported net income of just $1.34 billion in the three months to June 30.
