# REPLICATING THE WEB PAGE (SPIKE ADMIN) ON THIS SITE:
The importance of replicating a web page to a frontend developer as a means of practicing and improving on your skills cannot be over-empasized (to read more on this, see my previous article. [https://hackmd.io/@6IJBScnwR7CuhjW85TlJSg/ry2kPy7oJx](https://))
This project is a one-pager. It has a side bar, a nav-bar and other parts to it. The most challenging aspect to this project is the fact that some aspects of the original website was done with more advanced programming language and tools like the Javascript. As such, getting it to look exactly like the original one using only CSS and HTML was tasking for me.
The HTML structure had many divs to enable me place different items in their rightful positions and be able to structure the web page properly. For the styling, the flexbox properties were most helpful and the width and height among many others.
Building the Spike Admin web page was very educative because I learnt how to include new details to a web page. Things like the side bar, the bar chart and other details not previously known. I made intense research on different stages of putting together the web page and this helped with my understanding of HTML and CSS a lot. I hope to continue building more web pages (by replicating more websites) until I am very proificient.
I hope to continue to build on the knowledge gained daily and task myself with more challenges and strive for greater tasks. In future, I hope to use more advanced languages to improve on my web page.
Below is what my web page looks like, though I am still building on it:
