Currently underfunded, but given the sponsorships in flight we expect this to even out in the coming weeks.

### Pre-events

- Currently planning with 3-4 pre-events (or more)
- Each of these can have one of the "runner-up" speakers present!
- These speakers would be treated the same as the main conference speakers (reimbursement, payment etc., but probably no subtitles)
- Select speakers for pre-events from list of non-accepted CfP submitters; they would have their talks ready earlier though (needs to be communicated clearly)
- They aren't accounted for yet
- Pre-event talks would be recorded and released in the RustFest streaming interface as well as on the conference YouTube later.
- All pre-events are online, hosted on RustFest's streaming service but by one of the local Rust communities
- Buy-in from communities so far:
- Rust Tallinn, Berline.rs, Rust Zürichsee, Rust Stockholm
- Fuse German-speaking meetups into 1
- Would be cool to have non-European (and/or non-English) pre-events!

- Reach out to Kenian community (Flaki)
- Approach meetup group from Linz (Stefan)
- Contact other meetup groups

- If diversity turns out to be too poor, we should consider actively inviting speakers to balance it out
