(Student discount? No questions asked "community" ticket (cheap). No questions asked "pay what you want"? Other ideas?) * Open source streaming software *Wasaabi* * Estonian non-profit is managing this * If anyone wants to contribute to its development, please reach out! * For more information on setup of talks view the [CfP instructions](http://cfp.rustfest.eu/events/2020). ### Pre-conference meet-ups * Stefan will organize Zürich meet up * We will test Wasaabi there as a dry run ### Sponsorship tiers * [Budget outline](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1lDjraU4f32DWH4x_3PZMB02YivNRrrU_MHzDp5GvDsg/edit?usp=sharing) * [GitHub Pull request: Sponsorship package overview for homapage](https://github.com/RustFestEU/2020.rustfest.eu/pull/1/files?short_path=e6ad4a6#diff-e6ad4a6ff10dc838b30c25ca6277bba7) * Please add your feedback until tomorrow 12pm CEST (2nd September) * Publish + link page to sponsor mail * Create pdf * [Template e-mail to contact sponsors](https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Jf6EdOBsYzRjUbHdTj4Vm1xpc-V7Et0uqEuco6hDDWA/edit) * We want new additions to our [possible sponsor list!](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1KsGC8DpXmV-guZfEGZJt5JY-iYQYDYrraFOFnrsYs4s/edit?usp=drive_web&ouid=116192070466845230375) - can you think of companies that might want to sponsor? * [name=Jeske] will add contacts * Tokyo + Latam team: add your ideas for companies to the above linked doc :) * Sponsorship outreach team: * Rafaela, Wouter, Jeske * Ideally we would like to have +1 person join the sponsor team from Tokyo and Latam each :) * Everybody is welcome to reach and help out though! * Current sponsors: (out of 13000 EUR) * prospective: 2x to total of 3500 EUR * received: 1x to total of 1000 EUR. ### CfP * Tasks * CfP is online! https://cfp.rustfest.eu//events/2020 * 9 talks * [name=Wouter] Reach out to potential CfP-committee members. * Updates? * Commitment from 1 member, reaching out to more. * Tokyo + Latam team: Please reach out to people from your country / continent to submit to the CfP * Latam: What to do with their accepted talks? * Invited speakers are _ok_, but we should discuss an exact policy * 1 Highlighted / invited talk per block * Diversify CfP submissions: please reach out to underrepresented people - LGBTQIA+ (LesbianGayBisexualTransQueerInterAsexual+), BIPoC (Black Indigenous People of Color), women, disabled people etc. * Sheet to [document diversity outreach](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1-YLca0-0hrSDjYCkxiqpLWrjDDNpJ2lFaNxyRMlZcCs/edit#gid=0) * Who else could we reach out to? Ideas for people (that might know people / have a lot of contacts), organizations etc. that can help spread the word? * ... * Have +1 person each from Rust Tokyo and Latam that can dedicate some more effort on this * Who? * Everybody is more than welcome to reach and help out - let's make this event as colorful and diverse as possible 🌈 ### New design for homepage * Integration of streaming platform (https://waasabi.baytech.community/about-this-prototype.html) * We will integrate the streaming service into the RustFest homepage * Customizing the user experience * Flaki designed a prototype for that - *Wasaabi* (open source software) * Matrix-based chat platform * Jan-Erik will talk to Alexander about simplification of homepage * Logo and Colors * Stefan is working on a draft, help and input is apreachiated * Should we share the logo? * Or use the same base? * If anyone wants to contribute to the website content / design, please let us know!
