# Meeting note 0824
**Def (probability space)**
A prob. space is a triplet, $(\Omega, \mathcal{F}, \mu)$.
$\Omega$ is a set.
$\mathcal{F}$ is a collection of subsets of $\Omega$, i.e., if $A \in \mathcal{F}$, then $A \subset \Omega$. (The other way around may be false!)
E.g.
Let $\Omega= (\mbox{Adam, Ben, Charles, Daniel})$ be the set of students in a class.
