  • Hey there, I am Chirag Mehta and these are my updates for weeks 9&10 (11/09 - 24/09). In the following weeks, have formed internal discussions among fellows, split up work towards completing the task, testing and tackling up the Prysm codebase, and gathering more info about Blobs. Updates: Worked towards understanding the Prysm codebase, by implementing and testing a few things locally. Understanding and Figuring out the codebase, was a bit trickier to tackle as it was the first time I have been working towards consensus part of Ethereum. Getting up with modules(from the Prysm codebase) to make changes as per the design specs. Forming internal discussions among other EPF fellows working towards the same project ie., ePBS design and specs.

  • Hey there, I am Chirag Mehta and these are my updates for week 8 (04/09 - 10/09). This week was more about submitting the proposal, and starting some POC in Prysm codebase. Updates: As this week was the final one to submit proposal and due to some urgent circumstances I have been travelling throughout the week, so proposal was made by Manav as we(4 fellows) are working on the same project(different modules) ie, ePBS design with Inclusion list . So our proposal was common, had reviewed it, made some minor changes on the go. Have been looking to the p2p specs proposed by terence and was understanding in-depth about Potuz consensus specs. • Hey there, I am Chirag Mehta and these are my updates for week 6 (21/08 - 27/08). This week was more about understanding the implementation details of the spec in a bit more solidified manner and the implementation scope also includes inclusion list as well. Updates: So started on with understanding few modules of Prysm codebase and making notes about the changing spec. In the weekly call with Prysm team, Potuz pointed out about the Free Data Availabilty problem in the current inclusion list design and later about the design spec proposed by Vitalik and Mike to overcome it. Have spent some time in understanding the design and clearing up doubts with the mentors.

  • Hey there, I am Chirag Mehta and these are my updates for week 2 (24/07 - 30/07). The primary goal for this week was to read more about the project(s) I am interested to work on and gather as much context as possible, mainly after previous week's overview it was clear to me that Consensus Client/Research is the project I'm about to be doing in the fellowship. So, this week was more about learning and understanding about Consensus client and the projects around the same. Consensus Client: Went through different blogs and videos out their to understand more about the consensus part.

  • Hey there, I am Chirag Mehta and these are my updates for week 1 (17/07 - 23/07). The primary goal for this week was to read more about the Ethereum and break out things into different categories and deep-dive into them as per plan. Though in my previous post I have clearly indicated that I'm very much interested in working towards Consensus layer and Verkle tree. But I was also interested in learning about other open-ended problems around the same and wanted to explore stuff, so the week was more about figuring out stuff. https://ethereum.org/en/roadmap/#looking-for-specific-technical-upgrades Guillaume Ballet - The Verge: Converting the Ethereum state to Verkle trees

  • Hello everyone! I’m Chirag Mehta and am excited to participate in the 4th cohort of the fellowship as a permissionless participant and these are my updates for week-0 (10/07 - 16/07) Started going through the given list of projects to contribute to and filter them based on my interest. I'm mostly interested in Consensus Research projects and Verkle tree. Have been referring through previous cohort projects & ideas to get the glimpse of the things folks have worked on. Also, spent some time getting to know about open problem statements in Consensus Research.
