# Capstone - Benchmark & Brainstorm ### Organization - Notion: productivity - Google Docs & Photos - Facebook Mobile Home App - Notes App - Calendar: reminders ### Communication - Instagram - WhatsApp - Twitter - Ride App - Netflix - Swider ### Music - Shazam - Spotify # App Ideas ### Dhriti - Bullet Journal App: takes picture of calendar and sets reminders on out phone - Inventory App: helps businesses keep track of what materials that have been used and sends notifications when something needs to be ordered - Recipes App: helps you meal prep during the week and provides recipes based on you skill level, feedback could be provided - Adventure Finder: find the nearest adventure sport or fun activity and plan a trip - Tune in: important news by topic, business, political, most popular trends and good articles to read because I struggle to keep up with current events - Take a break: app that reminds you to step away from the screen and gives you a quick activity to complete to relieve stress, also the user can set up when they want the reminders and the duration of the activities - Flip the coin: often we meet up with friends and don't know if you want to watch a movie or play a game and don't know which game or movie so the app helps provide two options after everyone submits a quick poll and then flips a coin between the two #### Dhriti's Top 5 - Inventory App - Nutrition Tracker - What's Going On @ University - Financial Literacy App - Adventure Finder ### Faruq - Receipt scanner app: take a picture of a physical receipt and store the items and other relevant information on it #### Faruq's Top 5 - Tune In (Dhriti) - Course Planner(Anika) - What's going on @University (Victor) - Receipt Scanner (moi) - Bullet Journal (Dhriti) ### David - Connecting app- An app that allows users to meet people with similar interest based on location - Financial Literacy App - tells people a lot about finance, trends about money ### Anika - Course planner - allows you to make multiple versions of course schedules and 4 year plans for college - Nutrition tracker - if you're on a specific diet or have dietary restrictions, this could maybe help you make sure you don't miss important food groups - A troubleshooting app - compiles information about common problems with different electronic devices so it's easy to find and all in one place - Reading aid - text to speech and/or magnifying for people with very bad eyesight or for low light #### Anika's Top 5 - What's going on @ University - Inventory App - Nutrition tracker - Bullet Journal - Grocery list price planner ### Victor - Bus Routes: Way to see the different bus routes to and from places at different times (kinda like the Maps app but slightly expanded) - Grocery list price planner: given a "general" list of grocery items and a specific home location, the app tells you the optimal grocery store to pick up items based on a specific set of criteria (ex: availability, price, quality, brands, etc) - Better collaborative coding: kinda like the live share extension for visual studio code but when it actually works reliably - What's Going On @ University: create an email to join multiple school emailing lists to make a full calendar of everything thats going on during the month at a university. ### Seyi - Toillet Finder app- To find toilet locations - Brand Identifier app- An app that would allow users find out more about a brand by simply scanning the tag or the logo ## Top 5 Apps
