The visuals and messaging conveys the idea that this thing you're engaging with is very rich in fantasy, colours, alternative concepts,... but it also makes your own creative mind work, thinking about what your seeing and hearing, how everything is connected,... > It's off-beat in the sense that it is not something you see everyday. It's the somewhat unknown within the known: you seem to recognise certain aspects but then others don't confirm that idea. Skygazers is not really fit to be put in any box you'd normally put things is. > The futuristic aspect of Skygazers exists in its mission, as well as its execution (the characters, locations and situations). > Skygazers is rebelious in the sense that it goes actively against the mainstream and tries to offer an alternative for those who fell victim to the downside of negative culture. ### Personality A colourful artist living in an alternative cohousing project. > With his wild hair (shaved sides with a wild bundle of curly brown hair on top) and artsy round glasses, he dresses in clothing that inspire him, often self-made clothes or thrift-shop: leather-jacket with self-made embroirey, colourfull scarfs and cowboy boots. (MALE) > Her appearance doesn't reveal much about the depths in which she allows her mind to wander. Although her red hair with short bangs and dark-green oversized hoodie does tell you she's probably not your everyday soccer-mom. Her rings and bracelets shows some kind of fantasy figures, woven in branches, leaves and other organic shapes, and she spends most of her waking hours behind her oversized self-assembled computer. (FEMALE) ### Archetype The Magician-Hero > The Magician > This is for the one who’s surrounded by positive thoughts and beliefs. Who dreams, works, achieves, and repeats. Who looks in the mirror every day and thinks “I’m sure I can do it!” > The Hero > You bring change to the world out of sheer hard work and sweat. You’re courageous, determined, and a kick-ass person who can say with complete conviction that “you definitely have what it takes!” -------------------- ## TARGET AUDIENCE ### What we *assume* about our audience > Currently, before the launch, we can only assume who are target audience will be. Below each assumption we explain why we make this assumption - **age 20 to 45** - *why?* - Younger than 25 won't spend money on NFT (with minor exceptions) - Older than 45 is unfamiliar with web3, will mostly use what they know - **they are amateur writers w a few publications out** - *why?* - Constantly looking for new opportunities to showcase their writing skills (and maybe be discovered/published?) - Not scared of the writing and submitting process - **they are writers of fan-fiction w normal dayjob** - *why?* - While working a normal not-creative dayjob, they escape in their free time to fantasy worlds, through f.e. boardgames and rpg/fan-fiction writing/consuming fantasy content - They enjoy the sense of community they experience in their own fan fiction communities/groups - They are inspired by seeing their heroes or other characters/situations and love letting their fantasy run crazy with it - They want to train their writing skills but are too insecure about it to write a full-on novel/story - **they are fantasy-enthusiasts w normal dayjob** (who love lore, DnD) - *why?* - They love consuming fantasy, and aren't shy to spend some money on gathering collectibles: statues, cards, gadgets, NFTs - They love engaging with this stuff to nurture their playful side - **they are fans/players of of DnD** - *why?* - They are used to participating in rpg, where they take on a certain role within a set system. They can exhibit their imagination within the space foreseen in the system (e.g. "I am an Elf (=the system), but this and this is my backstory") - The vibe of fantasy and scifi is found both in DnD and in Skygazers - They enjoy doing things and creating together with their fellow players/community members, in a strong community that supplies them with a safe space - **they are fans of Xmen** - *why?* - Xmen have very outspoken characters with rich backstories and intertwining plotlines, similar to what Skygazers will be when reaching its potential - Xmen comes out of the comic world: Skygazers visuals are in similar style - **they are fans of Star Wars** - *why?* - Star wars is a rich universe with lots of intertwining plotlines, where the worldbuilding aspect is very strong: outspoken worlds, tribes, weapons, concepts ..., similar to what Skygazers will be when reaching its potential - As the Star wars universe keeps expanding, it serves as a good examples of what a universe can be, and also keep engaging both long-time fans and new fans - **they are NFT-owners who are looking for new things/innovation** - *why?* - Participated in the NFT boom, he made some money and is now always on the look for the newest thing in NFT-land - He is a fan of degen/regen culture but is tired of memecoins, looking for something more substantial - **they are web3-believers** - *why?* - Still believes in the mission of blockchain bringing the people together, creating a better world - Sees this effort for the contributing to that mission of doing that in a playful way - Have some crypto to spare to see where this is going - **they are ambitious** - *why?* - If you are participating in Skygazers, you feel a strong urge to create, to make something and exhibit your skills - You're also confident enough in your skills so that you invest in this to be able to participate. - **they have tendencies of being non-mainstream, rebelious, outsider** - *why?* - If the combination of fiction + web3 resonates with you, you're probably someone who prefers the alternative over the everyday life paths - - no reason to assume genderbias ### Distribution channels - important influencers/big names in the space: Kevin Owocki, Simon De La Rouviere, Griff Green?
