* # Budget and paid roles Authors: @dhannte Date:6/3/2022 **SUMMARY** A sustainable way to keep the EthernautDAO (EDAO) working. **BACKGROUND** I want to set up a formal salary for certain roles within the EDAO. Given the funds entering EDAO from the minting donations, we have the opportunity to compensate those who are pushing this DAO from the beginning and create incentives for more participation. **MISSION & VALUES ALIGNMENT** An active community always creates something bigger than one person and therefore grows faster and wider. At the same time secure the DAO funding for at least 6 months. **SPECIFICATION** Given the 100k in EDAO treasury my proposal is simple. We can spend 15k TOP each month and make the DAO work for 6 months. I propose spending 10k top on mentorings and 5k on community maintenance. Specification: * 4 mentorings can apply for a 2000 USD monthly distribution for up to 2 months.* * 500 USD per month for each council member 7. * 1000 USD per month for the community manager. * 2000 USD per month for community challenges/bounties. *This proposal only cover the budget for mentoring, a second proposal will dive deep on how they will be selected* Council members will remain the same until 27th April. The election will occur a week before to establish new council members. I’ve been doing the community manager work since we started and I would like to apply to this role. Here is a list clarifying what this role does or at least what I’ve been doing: * Moderate discord server * Announce pairings on discord and Twitter * Announce any kind of event related to the DAO * Keep a close relationship with mentors and mentees and have an open channel to listen to their needs and feedback * Ensure low friction between DAO mentees and mentors * Keep doing human proof video calls for future Ethernauts * Answer Twitter and discord dm’s regarding any doubt or feedback of the DAO * Represent the DAO values and ethos publicly with strict conduct knowing he speaks for the DAO and not for himself * Keep a treasury track record on a google sheet accessible to all council members * Keep doing follow-ups of every donation outside the DAO (example: Optipunks and optimism retrofunding) and ensure they get in the DAO treasury * Moderate the forum * Keep a clear list of mentors and mentees on a google sheet accessible to all council members. * Keep a follow-up of every proposal, 7 days feedback system, and 7 days voting system working and coordinate the appliance. * Keep the Twitter account alive with at least 1 tweet every day (either a meme, a follow-up on a topic, an announcement, or any kind of marketing action). * Stage gnosis safe transactions (Let's take this out of Ale’s schedule) * Keep a follow up on all council members and stage google calendar meetings and Lettucemeet * Discord channel administration and roles permissions * Keep github council channel updated **FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS** As said before, if we spend 15k USD each month we have a 6 months runway.
