According to Wrike, a work management platform, a project schedule, “indicates what needs to be done, which resources must be utilized, and when the project is due” (Wrike). Generally, it’s the job of the project manager to create and maintain a project schedule, but it’s ultimately up to the project’s team members to follow through with the schedule and meet deadlines. For some this can be especially difficult in a virtual environment, so below I’ve arranged some useful tips to help stay on track. - Understand and be mindful of the project’s scope: remember, the Project Scope encompasses the projects goals, deliverables, tasks, costs, and deadlines. (Landau) - Complete one task a time to avoid incomplete work: avoid multitasking when possible, and limit distractions so that you can give your full attention to one task at a time. - Check in regularly with your team: since you’re not working together in person, setting regular virtual meetings can help you stay on track. - Be realistic with your workload: know your schedule and learn how to plan around it. If you have children or other priorities at home, try to plan your team meetings around them. - Record and closely monitor your tasks: utilize a calendar and set alarms Plagiarism Check: ![](https://i.imgur.com/70mwak9.png)
