# EPF - Week 2
This week I spent some time reading about stateless clients and kept diving into ZkVMs. In addition to creating my presentation for EPF day.

## This week
### Stateless clients / light clients
I was reading up on the [statelessness roadmap](https://ethereum.org/en/roadmap/statelessness/). Mostly on [Verkle trees](https://vitalik.eth.limo/general/2021/06/18/verkle.html) and how it will lower the existing Patricia trees proof sizes many magnitudes.

I also learned about [The Portal Network](https://ethereum.org/en/developers/docs/networking-layer/portal-network/) which I hadn't really heard about before.

### ZkVM
To get a better sense of the evolution for ZkVMs and current state of the art I started on writing a more long formed blog post to fill in some of my knowledge holes. The blog post will hopefully be out with my next update.

## Plan for week 3
Next week we are entering the deep dive phase and I'll be at EthCC for EPF day. I'm still not entirely sure which project I want to work on so I'll try to spend that time discussing with other there what could be a good project to pick of the ones that I find interesting, I hope to also start drafting some proposals.
