## So there's a new technology that emerges, it's usually to help solve a problem that exists natively. What about the tradeoff between adopting a new technology and doing things like reducing bundle size? Should we try to use vanilla JS whenever possible?

## Answer

Good question. I think vanilla JS is a lost art where there are a billion and one frameworks. I'd say look at the use case. If you're building a personal site that isn't much more than mostly static data, then React, for example, would be overkill. Just use HTML, CSS, JavaScript. If you're trying to build something much larger, then yeah, try to shop around for a framework.
