# Instructor Lecture Checklist for Junior Phase

## Pre Lecture

**Note**: Here's a [first lecture guide](https://github.com/FullstackAcademy/academics/blob/master/guides/first-lecture.md) that has some images

- [ ] Make pairs for all the workshops
- [ ] Workshops are open on LearnDot under the correct visibility (i.e., Prereading -> Workshop)
- [ ] Cohort has access to the workshop or lab repositories (if applicable as some have students start from scratch)

## Right Before Lecture Starts
- [ ] Make sure you are host of the room
- [ ] Find the Host Key to your cohort [here](https://docs.google.com/document/d/1LLXD5EOlolWSMOMrmm1LS-t4Gb6A_Vn9vZlzP_ngNRk/edit?usp=sharing), go to participants tab in Zoom, click on "Claim Host" and copy and paste the Host Key in the dialog box that pops up
- [ ] Record via your favorite recording tool. Most folks use Zoom recording

## Post Lecture

- [ ] If the exercise is a workshop, copy the pairs from LearnDot, number them, copy link to workshop and place it all in a Slack message
- [ ] Make breakout rooms and have students navigate themselves based on the pairing number they've been given
- [ ] If the exercise is a lab, copy the link to it and place it in a Slack message
- [ ] If you have time, upload the materials to their dedicated repository under the correct day's grid. If not, this can be done at the end of the day in one go

## End of Day

- [ ] If not done already, upload all the materials to their repo under the correct day's grid
- [ ] Lecture Recording(s)
- [ ] If you used your own slides, slide deck(s)
- [ ] If you made your own demos, demo(s)
- [ ] Solution code (Link to them is in the [Program Bible](https://github.com/FullstackAcademy/program-bible-core/tree/main/01-jr-phase))
- [ ] Review video (If applicable. Link to them is in the [Program Bible](https://github.com/FullstackAcademy/program-bible-core/tree/main/01-jr-phase))
- [ ] Any extra resources (If applicable)
- [ ] Send End of Day Message reminding them of everything that has been uploaded to the repo and any uplifting or punny message
- [ ] Include Exit Ticket in EOD Message (Can be found in your cohort's specific drive folder under "Exit Tickets"). This can act as a launchpad for morning review the next day.

## Morning Review the Next Day

This only applies if you're responsible for the next day's morning review.

- [ ] After morning review is over, upload everything applicable to their cohort repo under yesterday's grid as it was yesterday's info
- [ ] Lecture Recording
- [ ] Link to Exit Ticket (in place of what is normally where the link to the slide decks go)
- [ ] Demo if applicable
- [ ] Exit Ticket Solutions (Can be found in the [Program Bible here](https://github.com/FullstackAcademy/program-bible-core/tree/main/01-jr-phase/exit-ticket-solutions))
