* members in attendance: ![selfie proof of meeting]() CJ, Egemen, Ethan (Although Alex wasn't with us while we were actually writing this Retrospective, he was with us when we met as a group during class earlier in the day, so he was still a part of our discussion about where things currently stand) * what worked well * Working scaffolding * Communication between frontend and backend (files can be uploaded to S3 bucket from frontend) * Auto-transcription * figma prototype * what didn't * haven't nailed down design choices for website layout * file uploading works in that the files reach the bucket, but an error occurs in reading the response which needs to be addressed * Struggled to find time to meet together, but this will be better in future weeks * self assessment on progress * Good technial progress. * We were slightly late on finishing this Retro because we had trouble finding time to meet, but we still feel happy with where we are at * lay out *each* of the following weeks till end of term with brief goals for each * current week: * Sliding window for analyzing sentiment of each portion of a video * Improve on our prototype and overall design * Fix bugs relating to selecting and uploading files when running the application * week 7: goals * Use sentinment analysis to get timestamps for interesting clips * use these timestamps to partition long video into shorts * Enforcing file type uploads for frontend and backend * week 8: goals, etc * continue working on goals from week 7 * briefly summarize any other topics/discussions * We think we want to improve our design/prototype by making it easier to visualize and organize all of the shorts that have been created by the user. We plan to provide two ways of visualizing/sorting the shorts: 1) under the long-form video they come from, and 2) by their status (under review / unscheduled, scheduled, and published).
