That is the story of Open UP Summit begins here 
這就是 Open UP Summit 最一開始的故事。

The First Month - June / 第一個月

第一次會議是在 6/4 三創11樓進行，確認一開始的核心成員，並且討論:
- 會議名稱
- 會議形式
- 6-12月整體時程安排
- 兩天會議流程
- 八月前要完成的事項
- 兩週內的分工
- 會議主視覺
- 官方網站

Jane 提供會議形式的構想:
1. Adventure Tours (構想來自xxx)
2. 主副舞台雙線並行的概念(構想來自xxx)
3. 要有暖場的預備活動: Pre-meetup、Pre-party

第一次就決定 Data/Design/Vision/FutureofWork 四個軌道以及整個活動的雛形和流程時間。由 LTUX 的夥伴 - 雅晴、Jill、佳穎等人開始尋找 Open Design 的講者，邀請到 Pre-meetup 做分享，如 5% Design Action 的洪燕茹、真的假的 Co-facts 的李柏緯等人，並與 WomenWhoCode Taipei 合作區塊鏈系列的分享。在第二次、第三次由 Yvonne 統合 Open Projects 的徵選活動及活動方式，並且開始研究想要邀請的 Co-lab 團隊和 Open UP Summit 講者和 Pre-meetup 講者。同時，在決定會議名稱是 Open UP Summit 後，購買完成 Domain - openup.global，並使用 Wix 完成基本架站，也正式開始經營 Open UP Summit 的臉書粉絲頁。

The Second Month - July / 第二個月
---

在主視覺和網站設計完成後，為了開始再進一步讓整體會議更完整，開始製作名片、增加贊助或成為夥伴的方式、開始公開徵求講者。同時，開始連結海外夥伴及尋找海外 Outreach 講者，且每一場至少邀請到一位女性講者，將女性講者推上台前、讓講者性別比不失衡，這也是策劃人 Jane 經營多個女性社群的初心。在七月中旬開始徵求 Open Projects，並提供夥伴 Startup Weekend EDU 參與團隊們提交專案構想，鼓勵參與團隊透過開源方式進行專案。七月底開始第一場和 LTUX Taipei 合辦開放設計軌道的聚會，邀請 UX 設計師 Heather 和 Jill 來分享開放設計。同時由台灣資料科學社團版聚開始第一場開放資料軌道，協助講座錄影及剪輯，並開始有女性講者上台分享，為日後講者安排設定標準。

八月正式開始 Outreach 海外宣傳的行程，透過海外夥伴的幫助，順利的獲得場地贊助及東京和福岡場次的餐飲贊助。馬不停蹄的加緊趕工預告片、貼紙、衣服，並且和長期在開源社群耕耘的李欣穎 Singing Li 及 黃一晉 Denny Huang 請教開源會議的眉眉角角，透過交流也開始認識開源社群是一群將開源在生活中不斷實踐的人們、貢獻者們！就這樣產生了「如果開源社群的大家能在大會上分享和討論社群的經驗與，」

The Fifth Month - October / 第五個月

確認 Open UP Summit 9成以上的講者，持續邀請廠商贊助，勘查旅遊線。月底時，Co-lab JITA 進駐三創並開始規劃為期四周的工作坊。在25號第一次和香豆一號團隊開始合作，一同前往三創生活園區12樓進行場勘，規劃11樓及12樓場佈及展場裝飾，並協助設計茄芷袋。同時邀請轉播、直播專家指導收音及錄音的方式和現場規劃。測試兩家導覽器，最終確認其中一家導覽器廠商，並進行多次環境測試。邀請多個新創夥伴及開源夥伴共同發起「OpenPass2019」，鼓勵粉絲參與多場新創、開源盛會。

- 硬體設備不足
- 在越南Outreach剪輯影片時，筆電變壓器因水土不服燒掉，歸國後購買桌上型電腦
- 第一次開始在 Pre-meetup 記錄演講，從使用低畫質攝影機、GoPro、iPhone到和專業器材廠商租借高畫質攝影機及相關設備。
- 為了解決主副舞台不互相干擾，尋找收音適合且價格合理的導覽器廠商，並在多個場景進行測試，確認收音品質。
- 和專業人士請教錄音的方法，並簡化錄音的方式，讓中控台直接收錄全場的收音。
- 會議經驗不足
- 團隊成員大多沒有舉辦會議的經驗，沒有前例可以依循
- 雖然籌備時間有六個月，但前期前置規劃和摸索時間過久，沒有辦法去想像會議可能的模樣
- 雖然有合作夥伴共同發起 OpenPass，但宣傳期過短，沒有良好的規劃宣傳的時程和方式
- 志工工作分配規劃不足，需要常常隨機應變，且未考慮到體力來安排工作
- 平面設計及剪輯經驗不足，印刷品溝通往來反覆->應有尺寸紀錄，將本次活動的背板等尺寸做紀錄
- 場勘時間過晚，沒有提前設計背板及規劃場地->及時趕上，感謝學者印刷
- 贊助和合作廠商來回溝通，但訊息記錄和傳遞不完整->補紀錄
- 需要和講者來回溝通，重複確認講題和以往不同並且要讓講題符合開源文化->
- 過晚寄行前通知
- 工作坊
- 工作坊中途有人離場，需要守門人
- 分組合作凝聚感薄弱，要思考如何讓工作坊參與者有合作的向心力
- 可以先招募工作坊志工和講者跑過流程，讓參加者參與的時候有更好的指引和參與感

- 不用Comika
- 要專門的人負責錄影
- 記憶卡盡量使用自己的或可以延後歸還記憶卡

- Design, Entrepreneur, 其它不同產業的 Open sourcer 或使用者可以加入一些分散式技术如何应用于社会问题的专门讨论吗？

- 變的想學的東西更多了，了解的多一點自己可以貢獻的 Open source，有些Open source 的主題很棒，可惜那Project 的語法PHP 不是我熟悉的語言。

- 希望可以增加資安議題，邀請講者分享如何避免開發有資安漏洞的open source，以及在使用open source時，如何判斷open source有無安全性漏洞
- 想聽更多ux research/design的實際場域經驗
- I think it's too diverse already
- 希望能有AR以及Geo方面的講題。工作坊較多是設計方面，較少開發相關。
- The speech could be more specific, that would be more helpful, introducing example to their speech, that would be more intriguing, otherwise there will be not much to take away after joining this event.
- 講題方向多元，但希望講題深度能有所調整。也許是因為""開源""本身就是要讓所有來自不同領域的人都能輕易了解的概念。不過像工作坊中就有遇到同組的夥伴本身是學UI設計，認為課程內容太過簡單或基本。如果可以或許能在講題上就先標示課程大概的難易走向或講述的內容、教學方式，讓參與者可以更有目標性的選擇想參與的工作坊或講題。另外希望活動的安排可以再做些許調整，有的參加者參加工作坊到一半突然離席說要去聽樓上的演講，這樣除了對工作坊的講師不夠尊重以外，也會影響到工作坊其他參加者的學習(討論到一半人就跑掉了...)，也許可以將兩邊的議題方向錯開，或是要求參與工作坊都能聽完整場。

- 這次的演講很多元, 有很多意想不到的主題, 讓我對於Open有很多新收穫. 目前尚未想到新的建議.

- 今年的 Open Up Summit 是我在台灣參加過數一數二棒的 Conference！非常感謝工作人員在各種細節的用心安排，印象最深刻的是有一位菲律賓亞裔的小姐（抱歉我忘記她的名字了），即使在午餐時也很熱情的拉攏講者與參與者一起聊天，我在其他 Conference 都不曾看過有這麼溫暖友善的交流，真的很感謝你們：） 如果真要說的話，唯一一個小建議是跟即席翻譯有關，我覺得有同步口譯真的超強超棒的！但是在某一場演講因為口譯太大聲，導致我無法同時專心聽講者講話，稍微可惜了。但還是要給口譯員們一個大大的鼓勵，你們做得很棒！！ 也很感謝 Mozilla 贊助了門票，因為這次的活動辦得太好了，以致於我回去還去看了如何捐款給 Mozilla 但不知道為什麼刷卡失敗誒殘念哈哈！開源萬歲！我會繼續任何支持 Open Source 的活動的！

- 覺得是自己的問題，同時段有趣的Topic太多了，我應該事先勾選好想聽的，決定後就要決定了

- A. the structure of agenda. workshops and speech are both beneficial. The way of designing the agenda can be reconsidered and make it easier for users to quickly select their track, according to their roles, industries or needs; and get the most out of the conference. B. For volunteers, it's not clear of what tasks they are told to do; and no clear rundown to know what to do next. Would be better to have a meeting all together to go through the event and tasks. C. open up summit could also become a platform/bridge to nurture cross-country projects."

- 部分講者的內容有點重疊性，加上時間短，演講內容多偏向大眾，希望能多分享深入內容

- Can add a tag (or something noticeable like a colour sticker) on the name tag to state which area each participant work in (e.g. developer, designer, founder, etc.) so that it will make networking easier.

- 希望演講的時間可以長一點，20分鐘好像只能聽到很概括性的像是背景或是公司介紹，但是工作坊就很棒！也因為第一天戶外活動的安排，認識了覺得很有趣的夥伴！比起一般單純透過工作坊或是演講，這樣的交流方式更自然，謝謝也辛苦主辦單位了。

I would like to see more practical examples of open data and open source, because pretty much everyone is just saying open is great but not that many people are mentioning how we should achieve that. 3. Following up to point #2, I would love to see open source tech communities hold a mini hackathon within the summit 4. Having good food and going on the "adventure thing" are cool, but if I were to choose between great content and those I would have chosen great content. Half of the speakers this time are pretty lackluster. Lower the admission fee and focus on inviting great speakers.
