# Pipeline Project - Love Shock
As my project was chosen as the 5th option I was was on my own for the first week but I started a more indepth HCP doing the Overview, competitors, characters and timeline slides. I create a sheet describing the characters with basic information like, age and personality.
Date:11/10
Hours: 1

As the lead for the project I wanted there to be a clear visions of the characters human form as I felt this would be important when designing and drawing them as well as it shows slight personality for them too, so I created mood boards for them all taking photos from movies, video games, TV shows and anime's to give a rough idea of there overall aesthetic, as you can see below;
Date: 16/10
Hours: 2

On week 3 my team then became 4 people so I was in charge of giving people roles, asking Keira and Rachel to mostly focus on characters, while Poppy focused on Gui such as the logo, starting screen. I decided to start designing the environment's as backgrounds to each scene are very important within a visual novel. We then gained a 5 member who I asked to focus on drawing the appliances.
I started working on the environments by firstly looking at examples of different background from visual novels such as Huniepop, Dream daddy and Magical diary.
Date:14/11
Hours:2.5
I then used a world builder to build environments to help me with perspective.I wanted a range of different of environments as they are mostly in the apartment I didn't want every scene to feel to similar, so I designed a living room, bathroom, kitchen and bedroom.

Date:10/12
Hours: 6
It was my first time using procreate to draw so it took some time to get use to the different brushes and settings. I wanted the living room to feel homely but now too distracting as the story and characters should be the main focus but I included pops of colour such as the books and painting to still give it personality, I used a textured brush to create the painting.. I used a smudging tool method to shade this room however I change it later on in my later works.

Date:12/12
Hours: 5
For my second room I did the bathroom, I had been doing some research about procreate and found out how to turn off pressure sensitivity which then meant my lines were a consistent thickness making the room more realistic and less messy which is an issue i found with the living room. I continued to use a smudging method for this room including to create a gleam effect on the mirror.Sticking with the basic theme but with slight pops of colour to show the personality of the home owner.

Hours: 5
Next I created the kitchen. I didn't want to go too plain so I made the island and cupboards have a dark purple accent colour as this is a very important room to the story due to the appliances all being in here as this is where they live. During the end of this piece I learnt that I could drop the colour in if I changed the setting of my line layer, as before I had been colouring them by hand very carefully to stay within my line work which was very time consuming. I also used a mix of the smudge tool and sharper lines to shade compared to the only smudging method I was using beforehand.

Date:14/12
Hours: 3.5
Due to me discovering how to colour faster the bedroom was done more productively, I also did the same as the kitchen and shaded with both the smudging and more bold lines but tried to use less smudging as I realised I prefered the bold shading more as it gave the room more depth and a more realistic feel.

I then went on to create some gameplay examples including characters/animals from Keira, mine and Ella's backgrounds as well as Ella's appliances and the text box Rachel designed. I wanted there to be a rarity and for the to show a little glimpse into the different characters personalities.
