Many people eat whatever their heart crave for especially if they have the money. But at a later period of their life, they begin to "watch their weight" or diet as the case maybe.

You see them going for diet soda, diet coke, diet yoghurt, sugar-free candy bars and the list goes on. Before long, feelings of returning to your former self or burning some calories overwhelm mine too.
Is it really true that you have actually burnt some calories? Some in reverse may have even gained more weight while trying to lose it. How sad. Are there ways to eat and not starve, yet not gain weight? Let's see
**ELIMINATE CARBOHYDRATES**
If you want to eat well and not gain weight, try as much as possible to eliminate carbohydrates from your food, can you?. Eat enough meat, eggs, even fats if you want but reducing carbs will help your body reduce its production of insulin. When insulin is too high in the body, foods eaten are converted to body fat. More so, foods rich in carbohydrates make you become less satisfied, making you hunger for more, craving to eat more.
**DO NOT EAT MUCH PROCESSED FOODS**
Make good choices of food while "dieting". Processed foods should be eliminated from your menu if possible.
**EAT ENOUGH FRUITS**
For sure fruits contain high amount of sugar when compared to vegetables, nonetheless, fruits are good sources of antioxidants, vitamins and minerals. Eat fruits instead of fruit juice. Fruits such as lemon, berry, grape, kiwi is good for you during the period of dieting.

**EAT ENOUGH FIBER AND DRINK PLENTY WATER**
Fiber is important. Soluble fiber can help remove cholesterol from the colon, and also regulate diabetes. Water is needed because when there is an increase in fibre intake, a craving for fluids occur.
