If your dog or cat meets the requirements listed in Lufthansa’s pet policy for cabin travel, you will need an airline-approved pet carrier. The carrier should have a waterproof bottom, have room for your pet to stand and turn, be securely fastened, and have adequate ventilation.

**Age requirements:**
