## Event Format
Each event will be comprised of
1. 50 min Practice
2. 2x Quali laps (10 min max)
3. Race 1 (15 min)
4. 5 min warm-up
5. Race 2 (15 min)
Unfortunately this means each event may be a bit longer than the usual hour. I'm going to try and keep timing as tight as possible.
### Qualifying
Qualifying will follow standard iRacing solo rules. You get 2 flying laps and the best will be used.
### Races
* Each race will be worth the same number of points.
* Each race will be 15 minutes
* Rolling starts!
* No pit stops
* Fixed setups (we'll be using the iracing `sprint` setup for each car)
#### Race 1
Grid order will be determined by the fastest qualifying lap time.
#### Race 2
Grid order will be determined by the results of Race 1, with the TOP 6 positions reversed.
eg: If the finishing order for Race 1 is
| 1st | 2nd | 3rd | 4th | 5th | 6th | 7th | 8th |
| ----- | ----- | ----- | --- | ----- | ---- | --- | --- |
| Steve | Barry | Jimmy | Ben | Colin | Jake | Tom | Dan |
Then the starting grid for Race 2 will be
| 1st | 2nd | 3rd | 4th | 5th | 6th | 7th | 8th |
| ---- | ----- | --- | ----- | ----- | ----- | --- | --- |
| Jake | Colin | Ben | Jimmy | Barry | Steve | Tom | Dan |
#### Points
Here are the points scores awarded for the top 10 positions.
| 1st | 2nd | 3rd | 4th | 5th | 6th | 7th | 8th | 9th | 10th |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | ---- |
| 13 | 11 | 9 | 7 | 6 | 5 | 4 | 3 | 2 | 1 |
Points will also be awarded for
* One point for fastest qualifying lap
* One point for fastest lap (per race)
* One point for leading A lap (per race)
## Schedule
This is going to be a bit wonky as we're going to be filling the Friday night slot. In the case of a "Special Event" the series will skip that week.
Timeslot: 2:15am GMT/10:15pm ET/9:15pm CT/8:15pm MT/7:15pm PT
2 drop weeks will be granted
| Event | Date | Track |
| ----- | --- | --- |
| 1 | Sept 16th | Bathurst |
| 2 | Sept 23th | Rudskogen |
| 3 | Sept 30th | RBR Nat'l |
| 4 | Oct 14th | Donnington Nat'l |
| 5 | Oct 21st | Oulton Island |
| 6 | Oct 28th | VIR Full |
### Track selection
I've tried to limit the track selection to free+league content. This season will see some longer draftier tracks which should hopefully make the racing closer.
## Racing standards
This is going to be the tricky part. I want to encourage close racing, but I don't want to see people treating this like bumper cars. I'm open to suggestions on how to manage this.
### Incident points
Each increment of 4x will result in -1 championship point for the race they were earned in, excluding the first 6x.
EG: 4x will result in 0 points deducted for a race
5x will result in a 1 point deduction
9x will result in a 2 point deduction
* ~~No incident limit. We will count them but they will not be used to hand out DQ's or drive throughs~~
* ~~(Incident point based champ point deduction calc being debated)~~
