# Cycling's Kim Jung-bin and Yoon Jung-heon win triple gold at Para Asian Games
[Kim Jung-bin](https://totoblog.one/2023/08/korean-zombie-jung-chansung-retires/) (Sport Class B) and Yoon Joong-heon (Jeonbuk Para Cycling Federation) combined to win three gold medals at the Hangzhou 2022 Para Asian Games.
The pair finished first in the men's visually impaired (MB) 69km individual road competition with a time of 1 hour, 35 minutes and 27 seconds on Sunday at the Jiexiu Sports Center Ballroom in Chun'an, Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, China.

The duo won the first gold medal for the Korean team in the 4000-meter individual pursuit on the opening day of the Games. They followed that up with their second gold medal each in the 18.5-kilometer road race solo pursuit on the 26th, giving the Korean team its first double gold medal of the Games. They added one more today.
Kim and Yoon started working together just five months ago. It's been a short time, but the synergy has been strong. All three came after meeting Yoon Jung-heon.
After his victory, Kim said, "I gave it my all because it was my last race, and when I crossed the finish line, I cried because of all the ups and downs I've been through. On the podium, I remembered my family, my girlfriend, and my guide dog Mei, who became my eyes," he said of his triumph.
"I was overwhelmed during the first medal ceremony, but when I heard the third national anthem, I remembered the moments of struggle," said Yoon, who won gold at his first Para-Asian Games. "I'm grateful to (Kim) Jung-bin for sweating and struggling with me, and I'm grateful to him for choosing me as his pilot and making the experience unforgettable.
The two ride a two-seater bicycle called a tandem cycle. Yoon Joong-heon, who is blind, is his partner and holds the handlebars in the front, while Kim Jung-bin, who is blind, pedals alongside him in the back. The pilot controls the pace of the ride and provides direction, while the blind athlete pushes forward on command. Medals are awarded to both.
