# Signature Singularity Residency Reflections ## Project Overview - We shipped the TLSN based Revolut integration for zkp2p. - Developed my understanding of the TLSNotary protocol and its use-cases. - Explored other primitives like the TLSP and TLS-FHE flow to achieve the same goal as TLSN but with different tradeoffs. ## Learnings Theoretical insights - Refresher on basics of crypgtography by Andrew was very helpful. It helped me unlock the last piece of puzzle in understanding the importance of validating MAC over correct encryption in TLSN - Improved understanding of Binius - Introduction to FHE session was great; With help of Sora understood that we can practically do TLS-FHE with just two party FHE scheme like TFHE - Understood witness encryption and OTPs - TLS-FHE might also have bandwidth problems similar to TLSN because of the ciphertext blowup - zk-fhe is fhe-zk (still only partially convinced); mind==blown Practical insights - The importance of being pragmatic while building applied cryptography based apps - Tradeoffs of TLSNotary and the proxy flow - Security of the TLS proxy flow - Found signatures on all sorts of Indian documents with the anon-aadhaar team; Understood their app and SDK offerings ## Project Synergies - Found most synergies with the Cursive team - Together explored the tradeoffs of the TLSN and TLSP flows; Setup meeting with the Reclaim team to understand the attack vectors on the proxy flow - Understood the requirement of an open source implementation of the proxy flow ## Personal Reflections - Learnt alot from Andrew; Appreciate the way he focuses on understanding things with great clarity along with doing the math; I'm gonna adopt a similar technique - Discussed "why" build in applied cryptography; Found some convincing answers and disucssions. Motivated to continue in this field. - Learnt the importance of writing more hackmd's from florent and sora; Gonna do that more often - Learnt Waterloo is (also) in Canada - Really loved the trips we did on weekends; Explored a lot of japanese food; Developed my character and understanding of the world as an individual
