# EPF - Update 1
Hi! Excited to join the EPF (permissionlessly).
Last week I have gone through the consensus and execution layer part from [epf.wiki](https://epf.wiki/#/eps/week3). I do not have any core experience of the protocol that's why lectures from study group really helped me.
I went through the project ideas and explored some in depth. I also checked out previous cohorts projects unimplemented and implemented ones.
Topics I'm interested in:
- [Erigon: RISCV Executable Proof Sourcing](https://github.com/eth-protocol-fellows/cohort-six/blob/master/projects/project-ideas.md#erigon-riscv-executable-proof-sourcing)
- [Ream Client: Benchmark zkVM performance on Ream's Beacon stf](https://github.com/eth-protocol-fellows/cohort-six/blob/master/projects/project-ideas.md#ream-client---a-beam-client-in-rust-benchmark-zkvm-performance-on-reams-beacon-state-transition-functions)
- [Grandine: Optimizing PeerDAS for Production
](https://github.com/eth-protocol-fellows/cohort-six/blob/master/projects/project-ideas.md#grandine-optimizing-peerdas-for-production)
- [Prysm: Migrate e2e to Kurtosis](https://github.com/eth-protocol-fellows/cohort-six/blob/master/projects/project-ideas.md#prysm-migrate-e2e-to-kurtosis)
- [Prysm: Lazy Slasher](https://github.com/eth-protocol-fellows/cohort-six/blob/master/projects/project-ideas.md#prysm-lazy-slasher)
I really enjoy reading about zero knowledge and applied cryptography that's why i was also looking for the projects from this area.
### Week 2 Roadmap
- Narrow down to a single project and start working on project proposal
- attend community calls regarding this project reasearch area
- attend ACD call
